Only individuals that are entitled a medical license either by a government approved professional association or a government agency. Medical School graduates must receive a license before he/she can be deemed a physician in legal terms. Medical graduates are not automatically granted a medical license, they must participate in a process (which spans from 3 to 6 months) that requires thorough examination by the medical board. The medical license is referred to as a legal documentation that allows an individual to practice medicine within a certain geographical region.
