MEDICAL GAS PIPELINE EQUIPMENT

OHMEDA Medical Gas Outlet

The OHMEDA Wall Type Medical Gas Outlet shall be gas specific for the services indicated and accept only corresponding OHMEDA-Type Quick Connect Adapter.

SMP Medical Gas Outlets shall be CE and UL listed and fully comply with the latest edition of NFPA99 and CGA standards. All outlets shall be tested 100% for flow, leaks and connectivity. The pressure gas outlets providing both primary and secondary check valves. The outlets shall be cleaned for Nitrogen service prior to shipping. A complete medical gas outlet shall consist of a gas-specific rough-in assembly and a matching gas-specific finishing assembly.

Finished- In AssemblyAll SMP OHMEDA Finished Assemblies shall have gas specific index and color coding corresponding to the gas service on the Rough- In Assembly to prevent possible interchanging of gas service.

Rough- In Assembly All SMP OHMEDA Rough- In Assembly shall be manufactured using ½" K Type copper pipes. The copper pipes allows 360°degree swivel on the outlet body to convenience installation. The components of the outlet will have the gas service engraved onto it to ensure safety and compliance with the standard.

Zone Valve BoxesSMP zone valve boxes are NFPA-compliant, and include dual-port ball valves for convenience.

Boxes are available for 1 to 6 valves in a single box. All boxes are factory-assembled with the smallest valve on top, largest on bottom. 1-valve boxes (1/2” through 2”) and 5-valve boxes ship with the top valve slot open for future expansion.

1-valve boxes for 2-1/2”, 3”, and 4” valves are 1-valve boxes, with no expansion.

Dual Port Ball ValvesOur dual-port ball valves are full-port, double seal, ball-type three-piece design with forged bronze/brass body and chromeplated brass ball. Only 1/4 turn of the handle is required to operate the valve from the fully open to the fully closed position. All valves are serviceable in line and supplied clean and prepared for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1. Valves are capped and packaged in a sealed polyethylene bag to maintain cleanliness.

Check Valves with Copper ExtensionsCheck valves are designed for working pressures up to 300 psig. The body is field removable for servicing without cutting the pipeline. All valves include Type-K copper extensions and dual purge/gauge ports. The unique sealing mechanism provides optimum flow and sealing, unlike traditional ball and cone check valves. All valves are supplied clean and prepared for oxygen service in accordance with CGA G-4.1. Valves are capped and packaged in a sealed polyethylene bag to maintainc cleanliness.



Pressure Control PanelsSMP Pressure control panels are available with either Nitrogen or Instrument Air DISS fittings on the face of the panel. A regulator on the face of the panel adjusts the service pressure at the DISS fitting in the panel, and at the remote connection, if used.

Emergency Oxygen ConnectionsEmergency low pressure oxygen connection boxes are required by NFPA99 for most bulk oxygen installations. The SMP emergency oxygen connection is available in surface or recessed mount versions, with either a 3/4" or a 1-1/4" connection. Order check valves, pressure reliefvalves, and pipe-away adapters separately.
