The main goals of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC/EMS) are to treat the casualty, prevent additional casualties, and complete the mission. The TCCC Cut Suit is specially suited to accomplish these goals in training. First, it allows medical providers to treat the three primary causes of death on the battlefield on a real human casualty; uncontrollable hemorrhage *with a blood distribution system, airway compromise, and tension pneumothorax. Secondly, it has a streamlined frame with a minimal wearer profile to increase the Hyper-Realism™ of any training scenario. Finally, the unit is completely user-customizable and user-repairable, minimizing costly repairs and long term reoccurring costs.

The Strategic Operations’ Blood Pumping System® (hereinafter “BPS”) is a Hyper-Realistic™ medical training system designed to simulate human arterial and venous hemorrhage in conjunction with simulated human injury products. The BPS is an innovation in patient worn bleeding simulations. It is worn by the patient and mimics a small pack worn by military members around the world. The BPS is self-contained and allows for 4 simultaneous bleeds controlled by a wireless fob with a 50-foot standoff. Each line can be controlled by the operator to simulate both venous and arterial bleeds. The BPS comes in a Basic and Deluxe model. The Basic version includes 1 femoral sleeve with pants, 1 brachial sleeve without bone, 1 gallon of blood concentrate for up to 6 gallons of reconstituted blood, and a 1 gallon plastic jug. The Deluxe version includes 2 femoral sleeves (1 with and 1 without pants), 2 brachial sleeves (1 with and 1 without bone), blast trousers, and 1 gallon of blood concentrate for up to 6 gallons of reconstituted blood.

The Combat Wound Kit inserts Hyper-Realism™ into any training evolution, increasing the stress inoculation factor for medical and non-medical professionals, and greatly decreases reoccurring costs when implementing Hyper-Realistic™ casualties into training scenarios because everything is completely reusable. The Combat Wound Kit is 100% user customizable enabling the order of specific “pages” with the desired wound patterns or types.

Uncontrolled hemorrhaging is the number one concern for patient survivability at the point of injury. Many of these fatalities are being prevented by the prompt application of a tourniquet. However, there are many times when a tourniquet cannot be applied or may be ineffective in controlling a life threatening hemorrhage. One of the most difficult wounds to treat on the battlefield is an uncontrolled hemorrhage from an inguinal injury. The Blast Trousers will fill this training gap.

As the latest addition to the Strategic Operations line of Hyper-Realistic™ medical simulation products, we have developed the Blast Trousers to replicate a life threatening bleed to the inguinal region. This is the most realistic simulation system to train Medics, Corpsmen, and other first responders for treatment of this injury.

The Blast Trousers are used in conjunction with the Strategic Operations Blood Pumping System (BPS) in Hyper-Realistic™ scenarios. The Blast Trousers simulate blast injuries starting above the knees that are circumferential and continue to just below the naval. The wound is above any effective tourniquet placement and must be treated by clamping the vessel or packing the wound (which holds up to two rolls of gauze) and applying direct pressure. The Blast Trousers not only have a life-like appearance and feel, but can also have additional life threatening or distractor wounds built in for supplementary training opportunities. Utilizing the BPS, these trousers are capable of bleeding out three liters of blood in just over two minutes.

The IV / Suture Sleeve and Suture Block are Hyper-Realistic™ training aides that are designed to be utilized in both a controlled classroom and a hands-on practical application field training environment. Recommended training with both allows proper introduction, patient identification, skin preparation of the area to include aseptic technique, and administration of local anesthesia.

The Strategic Operations IV / Suture Sleeve and Suture Block are comprised of a proprietary, life-like skin that is completely user-repairable and made to fit multiple body types. The IV / Suture Sleeve consists of a protective shield covered by a layer of simulated subdermal tissue and ten user-repairable life like veins. When worn, the skin lies over a protective shield that is puncture resistant and allows for full range of motion, IV cannulation, and gives positive user feedback of proper placement by sending flashback into the IV catheter. The Suture Block skin can be utilized to create superficial lacerations and deep tissue lacerations that are capable of being closed by sutures and staples, as well as the ability to introduce local anesthesia. Strategic Operations Special Effects (SFX) Blood Kit brings the caliber of Hollywood special effects to the world of medical simulation and is an essential component of Hyper-Realistic™ training evolutions. The SFX Blood Kit is competitively priced and user intuitive, ensuring maximum training fidelity concurrent with the goal of removing the word “notional” from medical training scenarios. The SFX Blood Kit can be purchased standalone or comes with the purchase of other Strategic Operations medical simulation products (Surgical Cut Suit, TCCC/EMS Cut Suit, and Blood Pumping System). Utilization of realistic, simulated blood during medical scenarios is paramount in stress inoculation training, to better prepare medical providers and first responders to the psychological and physical rigors of their job. The kit includes; (1) 6-gallon Reconstitution Bucket with instructions, (1) 12 oz. SFX Splatter Bottle with instructions, (1) 14 oz. Blood Spray Bottle with instructions, (3) Funnels (large, medium, and small), (1) 2.5 gallons of Blood Concentrate with instructions. Cut Suit Subject Matter Expert (SME) Training Course

Strategic Operations Inc. is pleased to provide you with instruction in the techniques to best utilize the Cut Suit to create Hyper-Realistic™ wound simulations that will enhance any training scenario.

The three day STOPS’ Cut Suit SME Training Course is included with the purchase of the Cut Suit. This course can be conducted at the STOPS facility in San Diego, CA or at a site chosen by the Customer.

Combat Wound Kit Basic Training Course

The two day STOPS’ CWK Basic Training Course can be conducted at the STOPS’ facility in San Diego, CA or at a site chosen by the Customer*. During this course the Training Audience will become familiar with the contents of the CWK and conduct hands-on applications. Instruction on the proper care and maintenance of the silicone appliances to ensure the maximum useful life of the CWK is achieved. Materials and supplies will be provided to each student and the possession / purchase of a CWK is not required.
