GMC Strategic Operation Frame work
Vision Statement
Glory Medical Centre envisions a spiritually and physically healthy communities
Mission Glory Medical Centre is committed to
bringing spiritual and physical health or wellbeing to the target communities through provision of quality, affordable and accessible health services.
Glory Medical Centre Operation Areas Glory medical centres currently serves the poorest urban slums of Kasubi
Kawaala-Rubaga Division. It has a vision of reaching to all communities in Uganda with affordable yet quality healthcare.
Kawaala is predominantly a low-income residential neighborhood surrounded by slums. A flood of fecal discharge seeping into slummy households may be the first thing visitors see as they enter the neighbouring parishes of Kasubi (Rubaga Division) and Kawaala (Kawempe Division) in Kampala, equatorial Uganda’s capital. Here and there, residents use plastic basins to bail the watery liquid out of their squalid structures, only to see more seep back in. Footpaths to the households are often submerged, forcing barefoot residents to wade into their homes, not far from where the city’s northern bypass is under construction. According to the 2002 census, over 40 000 people live on about 450 000 hectares in Kasubi and Kawaala. This is one of the most densely populated and poorest parts of the city of 2 million people. Piped water, sewage lines, electricity, and garbage collection are all a nightmare here.
Our Biblical FoundationGlory Medical Center has its spiritual roots in the
biblical verse “ behold I will heal this city and its people and will let them enjoy abundance…” Jeremiah 33: 6.
