The individual lecturers will attempt to point out those areas you should understand.
Will incorporate some notes in power points so as to encourage the students to refer to the text book.
There will not be lot of information in the power points.

Power point hand out knowledge may not be adequate to answer the MCQs and RRE.
Hence students are requested to read recommended text books.

Access to the presentation material (soft copy), will be uploaded on to the intranet account immediately after the lecture.

Attendance
Attending all classes will facilitate your learning process. It will make learning much easier, understandable and enjoyable.
75 % is mandatory to become eligible for end year exam.
Students are expected to be on time for all sessions.
Late comers and students leaving in the middle of the sessions will be marked as Absent.
Laboratory Sessions
Wearing lab coat and carrying lab manual is mandatory
Be thorough with the instructions, since mishandling of reagents may lead to serious accidents
Missing of lab sessions to be avoided , since remedial is very difficult.
Laboratory Manual
Is already uploaded take the print out maintain neatly it carries marks.
Mandatory to bring to the class during the practical session.
Be on time to the practical sessions.
Students coming late will not be allowed into the lab.

Remedial examinations
No Remedial examinations for continuous assessment during the semester.
One remedial exam for those who are unsuccessful after the comprehensive exam.
One Repeat examination at the end of the Summer vacation.
Repeat exam will consist of both theory and practical.
Eligibility for end semester examination
To appear for the Comprehensive Examination a student must have both the following requirements:
An overall minimum mark of 40% in continuous assessment.
A minimum attendance of 75% for the course or combination of course.

2. “Cancer in the UAE” -Theme ( 4th RAKMHSU students conference) will be held on 23rd of May.
The deadline for proposal submission is 10th March 2013.
