VN series circuit breakers

VN1

VN series circuit breakers the latest-genera-tion switchgear components masterly designed by Cooper (Ningbo) are widely used in the power distribution sectors including power plant power grid metallurgy petrochemical and urban infrastructure construction

VN series circuit breakers have a full range of product specifications covering 12-405kVAc-cording to different voltage level the rated current can be up to 5000A and the rated short-circuit breaking current is up to 50kA

The VN series circuit breakers developed under solid sealing pole scheme can seal ultra-low resistance vacuum interrupter and a primary conductive circuit inside epoxy resin through solid sealing to form solid-sealed pole so that circuit breakers have better insulation

Technological innovation

Modular operating mechanism

The operating mechanism adopts improved high-performance oil buffer and new cam curve design greatly reducing the overshoot of moving contact and rebound amplitude of moving contact at the opening of circuit breaker Thus it can avoid the reduction of mechanical life caused by local fatigue of bellows of vacuum interrupters due to the overshoot of contacts

VN2

VN series circuit breakers adopt special convection ventilation technology with ultra-low resistance vacuum interrupter greatly reducing temperature rise caused by long-term operation of vacuum circuit breakerand reducing power loss

VN series circuit breakers have excellent performance in frequent operation or the breaking short-circuit current of circuit breakers The circuit breaker can fully meet the requirements of automatic reclosing and has very high operational reliability

VN series circuit breakers adopt drive module design independently developed by Cooper (Ningbo) with closing reliability and low impact Thus it has longer service life

Design of modular operating

mechanism

Modular operating mechanism is another feature of VN3 indoor medium-voltage solid-sealed vacuum circuit breaker Divided into closing module opening module main shaft module and secondary circuit module it has such advantages as ease of standardized production short production cycle easy maintenance and convenient replacement Moreover all modules are standard and applicable to all VN3 series circuit breakers thereby reducing the cost of equipment management and maintenance

VN3

VN series circuit breakers adopt advanced surface treatment technology and lubrication technology to improve the productrsquos anti-corro-sion ability ensuringthe reliability of product during its service life and its suitability in and humid areas

VN series circuit breakers have passed a full range of product type tests and national-level product identification in accordance with GB standards

VN31250-315 has passed IEC test in STL lab

Conductive parts are silver-plated

To enhance the conductivity of the surface of circuit breaker conductor the outer surface of all conductive parts inside VN3 circuit breaker are silver-plated thus reducing the contact resistance of circuit breaker circuit and reducing heat during the operation process of circuit breaker
