Netherwood News…

No Children’s Worship or Toddle Time on December 24th and December 31st. The Church office will be closed from December 22nd-January 1st. No Senior Cinema for the month of January. The Women of Truth will resume on January 9th. We will be stud-ying the book of Joshua. Ladies Game Night is Tuesday, January 9th at 6:30PM in the Li-brary. Thursday Ladies Bible Class will resume on January 11th. Wonderful Wednesday Meal is January 10th at 5:30PM followed by our Wonderful Wednesday devotional. Come for some great Pizza and fellowship!

Men’s Breakfast is Saturday, January 13th at 8:30AM here at Netherwood in the Fellowship Hall.

Singles Game Night is Saturday, January 13th at 6:00PM. More details to follow.

Save the Date... Netherwood Park Couples Retreat in Durango Colorado is February 9th-11th. We have reserved 25 rooms at the Doubletree Hotel for $94 a night. More details will follow, but if you would like to reserve your room contact Walter Lane. Volunteers are needed for a VBS in El Paso, Texas June 18th-24th. If you have any questions see Lorraine Lewis. More details to fol-low. The Albuquerque Christian Children’s Home is looking for a faith-ful married couple who love children to serve full time in our ministry as House-parents. Must be members of the Church of Christ. II Corinthians: taught by Britton Pruitt in the West Fellowship Hall The Corinthian church faced a lot of problems in their infancy. Paul’s purpose in writing the letter was to explain the ministry he had, based on the new covenant that Jesus established. Paul feels that he must de-fend his apostleship from those that would take advantage of their situa-tion, therefore, Paul appeals to their hearts and minds based on the rela-tionship that he has already established with them. Also, Paul defends the gospel against legalism and manipulative fa-cades from those who are trying to infiltrate the church. We will discuss the meaning behind Paul’s letter to the Corinthians and discover not only the reason behind their troubles but the meaning and mystery be-hind the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sick… Craig Mathews would like prayers for his sister-in-law, Nadine Mathews, who is recovering from a mastectomy. Sharon Pruitt’s mom, Sophie Serna, is not doing well. Pray for Ashley Guerra and Jane Partain as they go through their cancer treatments. Leonard Armijo is recovering from medical procedures on his legs. Ann Sears would like prayers for her great-nephew, Beckham, who is re-covering from surgery. John Pearson is not feeling well. Pray for Betty Cochran, Bill Bedwell, Bea Rogers, Sylvia Strickland, Ruth Wallace, Vanita Southerland, Mary Mitchell, Steve and Anita Zdunek, Daniel Nez, Naomi Mosley, Richard and Colysta Wallers and Eulogio Najera as they deal with medical issues. Prayers… Diedra Hobson would like prayers for her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Alexandrea Kilgore, who are dealing with life issues. Pray for all who are traveling.
