CoachingMessiah Lifeways® offers a unique service for those 55 and better in the South Central PA region — Messiah Lifeways Coaching. This service helps identify and navigate local services and resources, offers guidance and solutions for caregivers, and connects individuals to enrichment and wellness opportunities available through Messiah Lifeways and beyond.

Messiah Lifeways Coaching is also a great resource for adult children, powers of attorney, and spouses who are seeking solutions to challenges they face as they care for loved ones. Coaching is a great starting point and offers guidance and support for individuals looking to achieve goals and desired outcomes with counseling, problem solving and action plans. Messiah Lifeways Coaching services include:

n Coach Helpline — Have a quick question? Call or email the Coach on questions related to services and resources for individuals 55 and better. We will answer your question or steer you in the right direction.

The helpline is open weekdays 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Call 717.591.7225 or email: coach@messiahlifeways.org. This is a complimentary service.

n Coaching Workshops — Messiah Lifeways Coaching offers interactive workshops throughout the year to help you plan for the future, explore topics of interest, and tackle challenges such as being a caregiver or choosing to age in place versus moving to a retirement community. Fees may apply.

n Discovering Coaching — Meet face-to-face or over the phone with the Coach for 1 – 3 sessions. Discovery coaching sessions offer you a chance to express your concerns, challenges and goals. The Coach works with you to identify resources and discuss the best options for you or your loved one and can also assist you in formulating an action plan to follow to achieve your desired outcome. The Coach can travel up to an hour to meet with you at a location convenient to you or you can meet at the Coach’s office at Messiah Village. This is a complimentary service.

n Retirement Options Coaching (ROC) — This new program is designed for retirees and those nearing retirement to plan for the next phase of life by assessing, focusing, and guiding retirees through a Life Options Profile,™ and concentrates on six key life arenas: Career and Work, Health and Wellness, Finance and Insurance, Family and Relationships, Leisure and Social, and Personal Development. Measuring the six areas will provide individuals with a personal, practical, and relevant self-portrait of one’s lifestyle or need for change. It also provides insights on transitioning from one’s current lifestyle to a new retirement lifestyle. Call for a FREE 30 minute Retirement Options Coaching consultation. Cost of full participation in the ROC program is $159 and includes:

• Life Options Profile™ (LOP) online evaluation and scoring

• Copy of the book “What Color is Your Retirement?”• Two 50 minute Coaching sessions, including

interpretation of LOP results• “Powerful Questions” exercise and take home

client exercises

n Speakers Bureau — The Messiah Lifeways Coach and a number of other Messiah Lifeways staff are available to speak on a variety of different topics including: Caregiver Solutions, Aging in Place Options, Fall Prevention, Wellness, and Enrichment Opportunities. The Speakers Bureau is dedicated to community outreach and education and is available to speak to community groups, churches, civic groups, support groups and service organizations.
