METHOD STATEMENT FOR CONCRETING WORKS Level 1Submission of concrete design mix to superintending officer

Level 2Upon approval of the design mix, Contractor shall prepare for concrete trial mix .Trial mixed shall be perform before any concreting works start.The trial mixed will consist of delivery time required from the mixing plan to construction site. Delivery time shall not exceed 2 hour from the time of mixing until pouring concrete. after 2 hours Concrete will start to harden ( initial set)

Level 3The trial mix also will produce the Slump value and the strength of the concrete for 3 days, 7 days, 14 days and 28 daysIf the first trial mixed fail, contractor must repeat the trial mixed until it meet the requirement or contractor will submit new design mixed and repeat the step 1 to 3 until itachievedthe requirement.

Level 4The Proposed concrete mixed can than be use for the construction after it meet all the minimum requirement.

Level 5Before any concreting work, Contractor shall submitrequest for inspection formto enable S.O or S.O.R do theinspection for installation of Reinforcement,Formworks and any other requirement.No concreting works shall proceed until the S.O or S.O.R had given written approval to proceed concreting via Approval chit.Approval chit shall be submitted at least 1 day prior to concreting works.

Level 6Upon receiving approval for proceed with concreting work, contractor shall ensure that they have at least 2 concrete vibrator, lifting machine, concrete bucket and gunnysacfor concrete curing.

Level 7There shall be no concreting works shall proceed during rainy days. Shall there be rain, contractor must immediately stop the work.On the concreting day every truck of concrete shall be tested for its slump and concrete cube shall be taken and mark clearly with the date and location of the concreting work.Number of cube shall be at least 6 numbers. 3 numbers each for 7 days strength and 28 days strength or else as directed by S.O or S.O.R.
