Metnet 60G Unlicensed mmWave Mesh

Enabling 5GSelf-organising mmWave

access and backhaul

CCS Metnet 60G mmWave 12Gbps backhaul and access mesh technology enables mobile operators and broadband service providers to deploy Gigabit connectivity at a fraction of the cost and speed of fibre networks. Applications include:

• 4G/5G Small-cell backhaul • FWA Residential and enterprise access • Wi-Fi backhaul • Fibre extension and G-Fast/DSL backhaul • CCTV Smart City backhaul

Operating in the unlicensed mmWave spectrum band from 57GHz to 71GHz, high capacity 12Gbps Metnet 60G mesh technology is designed to enable rapid deployment of Gigabit connectivity. Metnet 60G is a single unit multi-sector Mesh radio which has a wide 300° field to reduce the amount of physical equipment. Metnet 60G radio units are small and discreet which means they blend into the surrounding urban and rural locations. Metnet SON delivers advanced interference avoidance utilizing time, frequency and space diversity to continuously optimize spectral efficiency, traffic routing, performance and radio co-existence. Metnet 12Gbps Mesh Nodes connect autonomously to form flexible self-organizing, self-healing networks that deliver higher reliability than Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint networks.

Electronic beamforming antennas automatically scan and connect to the optimal nodes resulting in rapid and simple deployments in less than 15 mins. Metnet 60G Mesh nodes form automatic backhaul links to neighboring nodes which reduces the requirement to pull fibre to every site. One or more of the Mesh nodes can be connected into the core network at PoP locations using 1G or 10G fibre or CAT5 connections. Mesh and CPE radios can be easily added as the network grows and densifies. Metnet60G 1Gbps CPEs connect automatically to the Multipoint mesh network providing virtual fibre connectivity at customer premises in an easy to deploy, small form factor, and low-cost device. Metnet 60G nodes are fully FCC and EU/CE certified to leverage new 60GHz unlicensed spectrum.
