The Feast of Christ the King Marks the year of the Church year. The kingdom, as Jesus testifies to Pilate, is not of this world, in the sense of belonging to this World. But it is in this world, for we are the kingdom of God. It is, therefore, our responsibility, our mission, to build up that kingdom. We are entrusted to this mission by our common priesthood, this identity we received in baptism when we put on Christ. We may be citizens of our country, but we belong to the body of Christ.

"That in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those that are in Heaven, on earth and under the earth: And that every tongue should confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father."

Catholic Funeral Rites

A standard Catholic funeral as Outlined in the Order of Christian Funerals consists of three separate ceremonies:

The Vigil Service is a Scripture-based service at the funeral home, sometimes the family request that the Rosary be prayed

A Funeral mass or Funeral Liturgy Clergy can conduct a funeral liturgy within mass or outside mass. The mass would be at the parish church but a liturgy outside mass can be in church or at the funeral home

The Rite of Committal is celebrated at the gravesite or tomb. The Catholic Church eliminated its prohibition against cremation. ... Human cremated remains are still the body of the deceased – just in a different form. Thus, cremated remains should be treated with the same respect as the “full” body is treated prior to cremation. They should be buried in a cemetery.
