GREENLAND WINTER ADVENTUREAmmassalik is the largest town in East Green-land with about 1,400 residents. It lies just south of the Arctic Circle and boasts long hours of daylight in the summer and the splendor of the northern lights in the winter.Ammas-salik is only a 10-minute helicopter ride from Kulusuk, but this short flight is one of the most scenic expeditions imaginable as you cross the ice-filled sea separating these two mountain-ous islands. The town is beautifully situated in a protective fjord with high mountains on all sides. It is split in two by a river, which flows through the valley of flowers behind the town. This valley has a unique Arctic flora and is an ideal place for walks of all lengths

Hotel Angmagssalik is fully modernised, yet retains its friendly, informal style. The hotel has 40 rooms and a small conference and meeting center.

Ilulissat is beautifully situated at the mouth of the 40-kilometre ice fjord filled with enormous icebergs produced by the most productive glacier in the northern hemisphere, the glacier Sermeq Kujalleq. It’sone of few glaciers within the Greenland ice cap which reaches the sea. Ilulissat is located on the west coast of Green-land, 250 km north of the Arctic Circle. 4,000 people live in Ilulissat and not less than 6,000 sled dogs. This is an eloquent statement of the importance of the dogsled as a means of trans-port, even in a large modern town. Regular boat trips are scheduled in the fjord, where you will sail between floating icebergs of all dimen-sions. Hiking trips and helicopter tours are also available. You can therefore easily admire huge icebergs up close that come loose from the glacier and crash into the sea

HotelArctic’s has 87 rooms and a new confer-ence centre, can provide top-class rooms, decor, climate and AV-facilities for 120 par-ticipants. The heart of the conference centre is the assembly room, the Greenland Room, which can also be converted into a theatre or concert hall. In addition to the Greenland Room with its group rooms and meeting rooms, we also have a smaller assembly room with a number of meeting rooms.
