Next-generation directional front tyres for greater safety and mileage.

The innovation:Three-dimensional (3D) Delta sipes• Next-generation, full depth sipes, guarantees optimal grip and durability

throughout the life of the tyres, especially on smooth tarmac and wet slippery roads.

• The new Delta sipe locks and stiffens the tread blocks on entry to the contact patch. Which limits wear and then it opens on exit from the contact area for enhanced grip.

• The new Delta sipe is designed to avoid irregular types of wear due to braking torque.

• Combined with the tread’s wider profile, the Delta sipe allows for greater driving safety: gradual reaction on smooth and slippery road surfaces.

After proving their worth on drive tyres, Michelin directional siped treads are now available for front tyres• To take advantage of the full potential of Delta sipes, (lifespan + 15%)* and

avoid uneven wear in severe conditions, it is necessary to comply with the rolling direction at the start of the tyre’s life.

• Optimized wear profile for front tyres guarantees that you can make the most out of the regrooving possibility.

Superior Shoulder Protection• A wider tread and the specific rubber compound improve lifespan in terms

of wear.

• Massive «square» profile with raised sidewall protection ribs, increase resistance to kerb chafing.

• The «shoulder» ribs are wider for greater protection against accidental damage, eg. shoulder rib tear.

• When half-worn, these wider ribs continue to provide optimal braking.

«Double-wave» sipes• Self-locking three-dimensional structure.

• In the contact area, the structure immobilizes the tread blocks, ensuring optimal rigidity, which minimizes wear, extending the lifespan and guaranteeing a high level of grip.

«Rain drop» sipes• Self-regenerating, full-depth sipe.

• They have a rounded raindrop shape, and emerge when the block is two-thirds worn, thus forming new edges and grooves, and giving the worn tyre unequalled grip and road holding.

New «TowerPump® sipes»• For enhanced grip on slippery road surfaces.

• These sipes are designed to store the residue that filters into the contact area. They are cylindrical in shape and act as miniature pumps.

• Improved resistance to stress and severe use conditions.

Directional siped tread on the drive axle for better spread of torque loading• To take advantage of the tread’s full potential, it is necessary to comply

with the rolling direction on the drive axle.
