Residential sprinklers control or extinguish a lot of fires but they are: only designed & tested to give the occupant 10 minutes to evacuate the premises.

and applies 250 GPM per hose to fire. Windows are broken and holes are cut
in the roof to vent fire gases and smoke

THE AFTERMATH

The Fire Dept. arrives, assesses the situation
and limits water damage by shutting
down the water supply to the sprinkler system. The fire department then assists with initial
