What is MicroGenius ®150?MicroGenius 150 is a new genset battery charger from SENS, the leader in reliable infrastructure power. Designed for emergency generators, MicroGenius 150 outperforms all competing products. MicroGenius 150 is more reliable, easier to use,and more energy efficient. Most important, MicroGenius 150 safely performs the work of higher ampere chargers.

Dynamic BoostTM Charge – the Fastest, Safest Genset Charging AvailableOther chargers offer fixed charge programs that cannot adapt to changing DC loads, varying states of battery charge and differing battery capacities. Failure to adapt means that conventional chargers either recharge batteries too slowly or overcharge and damage them.

Enabled by microprocessor technology, SENS Dynamic Boost Charge system recharges batteries at the maximum possible rate, but without the overcharging and battery damage typical of older chargers set for fast recharge. Dynamic Boost Charge automatically and continually adjusts the charge profile. This safely minimizes charge time for each genset’s unique combination of DC load, battery capacity, depth of discharge and other real-world variables.

Dynamic Boost Charge equipped chargers safely perform the work of higher amperage chargers, reducing charger size and cost, and extending battery life.

CAN bus J1939 NetworkCommunications Cuts OEM CostsNFPA-110 requires a genset to inform the user of charger output voltage and current, along with starting battery alarm state. Until the MicroGenius 150, this meant the charger had to be installed so that meters are visible. It also required running alarm wires to multiple signal relays. MicroGenius 150 eliminates both these problems. The optional J1939 communications port allows genset controller access to NFPA-required alarm and meter data via a simple two wire connection. When equipped with the J1939 option, MicroGenius 150 can be located anywhere in the genset system, simplifying OEM installation and reducing cost.

Rugged, Foolproof DesignGenset duty is tough. Heat, cold, vibration and water are a fact of life for anything inside a genset enclosure. Chargers can be connected to batteries that are dead, with polarity reversed or the wrong voltage. MicroGenius and its NRG predecessor are the only genset chargers that automatically protect the charger from these rigors of genset duty.

Ultracapacitors crank engines up to 40% faster than batteries, do not require maintenance, and do not suffer from cold or heat like batteries.

MicroGenius 150 is the only genset charger to offer an ultracapacitor charging mode, certified by the leading ultracapacitor manufacturer to properly and safely charge ultracapacitors.
