Award Guidelines

Nominating Chapter must be financial in the State, Region and InternationalHeadquarters (IHQ) during the previous year.

Individuals nominated must be financial with their respective chapters, State, Region andIHQ during the previous year.

The content submitted in the award package must cover the calendar year of January 1,2014 through December 15, 2014.

All forms must have all required signatures to qualify for the submitted award. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the candidate.

All entries must be mailed to the address listed below and postmarked by February 25, 2015. Entries received after the deadline will NOT be judged. Nomination packages will not be returned, retain a copy for your records.

Award CategoriesOUTSTANDING COLLEGIATE/ALUMNI CHAPTER REPORT

Chapter reports are to be submitted in accordance with International Headquarters guidelines. Guidelines are on the national website but can also be found by clicking HERE. Chapters will be required to provide a chapter display table (in accordance with the national guidelines) and be interviewed. Please submit all chapter reports to [email protected] .

OUTSTANDING COLLEGIATE/ALUMNI BIGGER AND BETTER BUSINESS PROGRAM

This award recognizes the best such program implemented by an active chapter of the State. A nomination package is not required, as the recipient will be selected among the various chapter reports.

All courses listed on members’ transcripts shall be approved baccalaureate curriculum by the state’s Board of Governors. Only four and five year baccalaureate programs are acceptable. MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FEBRUARY 25TH.

Sigma Beta AwardsOUTSTANDING SIGMA BETA CLUB MEMBER OF THE YEAR

This award is presented to the Sigma Beta club member whose attitude and actions best exemplify the ideas of leadership and scholarship. The nomination package must include evidence that the nominee is registered with the IHQ, and contains the cumulative GPA (verified by the school principal). The sponsoring chapter must submit nominations.

GRADUATION SCROLL

Although not an award, each chapter is encouraged to submit a graduation scroll to have its graduation members recognized.

SIGMA BETA ATHLETE ACHEIVEMENT OF THE YEAR

This award will be presented to the collegiate brother who has shown himself outstanding in regard to academic and athletic achievement. This application will be rated on verifiability of information, clarity, and evidence of achievements.
