support his job search. As a professional engineer involved in technical sales, I have observed
that Raymond has a strong technical aptitude. Raymond impressed me with his serious pursuit
of his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering while at Boise State University. Given his
background in electronics, software and experience living abroad, I’m confident that he
would be a positive well rounded addition to your organization.
I taught Raymond from 2009 to 2013 Japanese Kendo at the West Boise YMCA. As head
instructor for the Idaho Kendo Club, I worked closely with him when he was a beginner and
later during his period in the club as an intermediate student. He is a very serious and
dedicated student, and was always one to apply himself fully to the class. While at the club
he showed depth in thinking as he strived to perfect each new skill and task.
Raymond is passionate about connecting with people across cultures, whether that means
studying Japanese martial arts or traveling internationally. As a new hire, I am sure he will
bring this passion with him into his new position.
