Happy 2014 I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Years We ended 2013 with a fantastic Holiday Luncheon where we honored our very own MVCA Heroes I would again like to thank Alan Freeman (with Servpro of Stockton) Bob Tucknott (with Tucknott Electric) Beth Ossino (with Golden Bear) and Bryan Harrison (with ANN and Mountain House Feral Cat Rescue) for their true commitment in helping others In addition Marvin Wenograd was successfully able to deliver all of the ldquoToys for Totsrdquo to Sgt Smith of the US Marine Corp at the recruiting facility in Stockton We were amazed at how many toys were donated by generous members Our Association is not one of the largest but we donated over 50 toys on behalf of the MVCA for 2013

For the month of January we have asked Richard Bishop with Settlement Planners Inc to speak to our association about ldquoThe Evolution of the Settlement Planning Industryrdquo

All Members please mark your calendar for the following date(s)bull February 21st - William Ricci with Independent Roof

Inspections will be speaking on roof damages and what to look for in a roof inspection

bull March 21st - We hope to welcome back Mark Berry or another Mayall Hurley attorney to provide our Association with their Annual Certification Presentation

bull April 18th ndash TBDVice-President Staci Moreno and I have been working hard on

lining up some wonderful speakers with informative and interesting topics for this year Hope to see everyone each month at our luncheon

Since September 1982 Rick has specialized in the structuredsettlement marketplace Mr Bishop has taught seminars on the benefits of structured settlements for the Consumer Attorneys of California and is a past member of the faculty of the National Judicial College He is a past member of the board of directors of the Central Coast Claims Association and current member of the National Association of Insurance amp Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and a number of local claims associations in California He is also a past member of the Na-tional Structured Settlements Trade Association and was a founding member of Settlement Planners for Consumer Rights and the Society of Settlement Planners where he remains a Director
