The St. Paul’s golf team is sur-rounded with great players. Their #1 player is Robby Shel-don who has broken a course record or two in his time with the Saints. The #5 player is Robin Adams. Robin is an 8

th

grader who went to his first state championship this year. When asked about his play at the tournament, Robin said he played ok. He also said he played better the second day than he did the first. It was played at a Robert Trent Jones course in Opelika, Ala-bama. The winning team this

enough to give the Saints a fourth consecutive state championship. They ended with a two-day score of 614 coming in second. Briarwood Christian came in third with a 617 and Cullman came in fourth with 650. Even though they didn’t win this year they will win next year.

year was Fort Payne. They shot a 609. St. Paul’s beat Fort Payne the second day by three strokes, but it wasn’t

I’ll Have Another is a great horse who has recently won the Kentucky Derby and the

Preakness. In both of these races he has passed one horse in each of these two wins. He passed a

horse named Bodemeister. Surprisingly I’ll Have Another only went for $1,100 at an auction. Most

racing horses go for like a million! I’ll Have Another has a chance to go for the Triple Crown. The

Triple Crown is when a horse wins all three races in one season. Do you think he could do it?

Watch to see if I’ll Have Another can make history.

A PROGRAM ABOVE PAR

The NBA playoffs: the most anticipated part of this NBA season. Several of the big name teams are in these playoffs: the Mi-

ami Heat, the LA Lakers, the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls were in a position to win until their star

Derrick Rose went out with an ACL injury making them get knocked out by the Pacers. The top two favorites are The Oklahoma City

Thunder and The Miami Heat. The Miami Heat features LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwayne Wade or the “Big Three”. Well what-

ever their name is they have put up some excellent numbers. LeBron has been averaging 27.1 points per a game. But a big story line is

the OKC and LA Lakers matchup. Metta World Peace elbowed OKC player James Harden in the head. When interviewed, Will McFad-

den said that that was uncalled for but he still thinks the Thunder have a chance. After all they swept or got 4 wins in a row in the 7

game series against the defending champs the Mavericks.

But there are some other teams in the playoffs. The Pacers look like they are holding their own against the Miami Heat. They are leading the series 2-1 as of Game 3. The Celtics are doing the same against the 76’ers also in Game 3. The Spurs are up 2-0 over the Clippers. In case you are wondering OKC is leading the LA Lakers going into Game 3 2-0. This could all change though because these series aren’t over. As we have seen in the past this could all change on a dime. Make sure you tune into the NBA playoffs!

people in lots of eastern cities, including Tokyo, may be cleared because so as many as 40 million won’t be in danger of extreme radiation poison-ing. This is one event that no one will forget.

Current Events maga-

zine says that things from the

tsunami are starting to wash

It was March 2011 when the gruesome tsunami and 9.0 earthquakes hit Japan. Lots of buildings were de-stroyed. Many people died or went missing during the earth-quake and tsunami. Roads were split in half, homes flooded and burned, and there was very bad radiation after all of it. According to EUTimes.net

Japanese writing on it and it

was returned to the owner. But

this was only the first thing

that washed up on the coast.

There is much more to come.

Maurice, and the Penguins are all along for

the adventure. Their journey takes them

through Europe where they find the perfect

cover: a traveling circus. Diary of a Wimpy

Kid: Dog Days is about Greg Heffley who

devises a plan to pretend he has a job at a

country club – which fails and includes em-

barrassing mishaps at a public pool and a

camping trip that goes horribly wrong. In

Snow White & the Huntsman the evil queen

is out to destroy the title character. But what

Agent J will have to travel back in time to put

things in order. J discovers that there are

secrets to the universe that K never told him -

- secrets that will reveal themselves as he

teams up with the young Agent K to save his

partner, the agency, and the future of hu-

mankind. Madagascar 3 is about Marty, Alex,

Gloria, and Melman, still fighting to get

home to New York. Of course King Julien,

the ruler never knew was that Snow White

was training in the art of war with the hunts-

man who was assigned to kill her! Now that

for Ha and the things she is go-ing through be-cause she went through much of what Ha went

Inside Out and Back Again is a great book for anyone who is looking for a good, but short book to read. It’s about a Viet-namese girl named Ha that has to move from South Vietnam to the U.S. because of the Viet-nam Conflict. Without her father. Lots of people be-lieve he was captured. Ha

And, now… An Op-Ed piece from Wilder Wing

I’m going to tell you what you need to survive a

zombie apocalypse. First you will need a Katana, the sharp-

est samurai sword in the world. Next you will need to build

a fort. Keep lots and lots of water and food in it. Now you

will need an AR-15 with a bayonet on it. You will also need

a friend to keep you company. The most important thing is

having boxes and boxes of grenades and AR 15 ammo. These

things will ensure your survival.

You’re welcome.

The Middle School Communication class would like to thank Dr. McDonald, Mrs. Betty Stone, Mrs. Linda Wettermark, and everyone else who helped us out this semester!

Thanks!

iPhone vs .

Android

That is all you hear about phones. Many

people say that the iPhone is better than the Android.

Which is true? Many people prefer the iPhone

because of its user friendly software. The Android on

the other hand is more complicated. Others, who are

really into phones, prefer the Android. In the long

run, the “best phone” is your opinion.
