06. July.18 Page 1 of 5 MIDSUMMER FESTIVAL At this year’s Festival we had visitors from a school in Poland. They were very hououred to have crowned our King and Queen and were very impressed by the children’s dancing. They thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, we hope you did too. We were also joined by some children from Chipping Warden Primary Academy who are part of our Multi Academy Trust who performed a traditional polish dance with our visitors. We would like to thank all the teachers, teaching assistants and most of all the children for working so hard to perfect their moves. A big thank you to our Parents’ Association and to all those who donated cakes and flowers and spared their time to help set up. SUMMER FAIR – Yippee the sun shone We would like to say a huge thank you to our Parents’ Association, every volunteer and every member of staff who gave up their time to make the Summer Fair such a fun evening. We really do appreciate all of your hard work. Also a huge thank you to those of you who attended we hope you enjoyed the evening. Total amount raised to follow – still counting! SPORTS DAYS & PICNIC KS1 (Reception, Yrs 1 & 2) – Tues 10 July KS2 (Yrs 3 – 6) – Wed 11 July Both days will start at 9.15am and the children should come to school in their PE kits. The children will require an extra drink and sun hat. After the sports activities you are invited to stay with your child for a picnic on the field which will finish at 1pm. Hot school meals will still be available should you wish for your child to have one. However if your child has a meal booked and they are joining you for a picnic instead please can you ensure that you cancel the meal on Live-Kitchen otherwise the meals will go to waste. Thank you. CHARITY DAY – NON UNIFORM Monday 9 July Reminder - the children may come to school in non-uniform in the colours of pink, purple, blue and grey for a donation of £1. There will also be the opportunity to buy an ice lolly for 50p. All proceeds of the day will go to MORNING DROP OFF To ensure the safety of our children the outside doors to school will be locked promptly at 8.55am when registration takes place. Families arriving after that time will need to enter school via the main doors and report to the office. Children arriving after 9.00am when registration is closed will be recorded as late. WOODWIND LESSONS & ORCHESTRA Lessons for Woodwind and Orchestra have now finished. However can we remind you that the children will be putting on a concert for parents next Friday 13 July at 10.30am so please can your child bring their instrument to school on this day. Many thanks. RECEPTION As previously mentioned we had some teachers from Poland visit our school last week. The children in Reception decided to build an aeroplane and an airport and advised that they were off to visit Poland.
