EDGE OF THE CITY

Second iteration London was picked by our group because of multilayer of antiquity and history. By the second iteration I developed basic idea and notion of the edge. I was contrasting it with a contemporary city of London as well as describe its major impacts on the city of London.

Third iteration – reorganization of material. What we did: Define old London city wall as historical edge of London city. Identifying major points of interest in the edge. Compare old and new. Identifying openings in the edge, develop one of the major points and the entire project.

Forth iteration integration of the content. Creating hierarchy by the color and size of the text. Impact of the wall on city life.

Site analysis

Showed major site features as well as created a feeling of the site by adding watercolors drawing and pictures of the major views from the site. Look inside and outside. On a map as well as for my own knowledge I picked major architectural and social issues to response in my future project. In this point they are elevation of the site, historical context of the neighborhood, views of the city and city grid.
