Unless your a lucky one, you WILL be forced to move. Often times its more frequent then most. Un-fortuantly this is how the military works, so always be prepared!

You need to understand the reasons behind the struggles you are put through. Sacrafices have to be made.

Support your soldier through it all! They go through so much, and your support means everything to them.

Don’t find yourself latching on to places/people because it’s only a matter of time until you have to pack up and leave again.

Duty stations, schools, and friends come and go but you will ALWAYS have your family. Rely on eachother for comfort and friendship. Your family is what matters the most.

Love & respect your parents

Because things are so quick to change you need to have the “go with the flow” mentality. Whatever the military says, goes.

Rather then being sad and depressed about situa-tions, do your best to find the brighter side in life. There’s always a plus side!

Dwelling will do absolutley nothing for you but make you more upset. Move on, life will get better, I prom-ise!

Do your best to adapt easily. Try to fit in. Other military brats know your situation and are very welcoming.

Most importantly, love & respect your parents. You are not the only one who doesn’t want change. It’s hard and stressful enough for them. Make their life easier & just show gratitude.
