As an ice breaker, students are asked what Thanksgiving is associated with. It will help students to be aware of the topic and get them ready to go on to the main lesson smoothly.

To understand the history of Thanksgiving, students will complete the following activity for comprehension and key vocabulary check-up.

Students will free- write about Thanksgiving, i.e.) their first hand or secondhand experience. They will get more sensitive to a narrative genre by practicing past tense, time sequence, and transitions.
