CALLING THE CONGREGATION TO PRAYER
WEEK 10: 28TH FEBRUARY 2016
We encourage the Congregation to be heavily in-
volved in prayer leading up to our Mission, that God
will be pleased to presence himself, by his Holy Spirit
lives will be changed and many brought into his King-
dom. If this prayer can be of any help to you, please
use it daily in your own prayer time
Hebrews 13 v12-13: "And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp bearing the disgrace he bore".
Dear Loving Heavenly Father, as I humbly bow before you, the
Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, I thank you for the
sacrifice that Jesus made for me outside the city gate. I
thank you for his blood that sets me free. Help me to be holy
as you are holy. Teach me your ways that I might come to
know you in a deeper and more meaningful way as I seek to
"Glorify and Enjoy You Forever". Help me Lord to build upon
my faith in your son Jesus Christ as I learn to serve him in my
daily life. Help me Lord to share and show the love of Jesus
with others in my family, with my neighbours and those
whom I meet daily, who do not yet know of Him personally as
their Lord and Saviour, Redeemer and Friend. Father, help me
to give an invitation to our Congregational Mission to those
who are outside the city gate, that they might hear of the sal-
vation of God for the very first time in their lives. Father God
let my prayer for the lost in our congregation be that of the
hymn writer that they will turn their eyes upon Jesus, to look
full in his wonderful face, and that the things of the earth will
grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace. Heav-
enly Father, Teach me O Lord to act justly, to love mercy and
to walk humbly with our Lord in Jesus name I pray.
Amen

The purpose of the Shorter Catechism is to educate children in the reformed faith. It is based on the larger Catechism, which was intended for use by Ministers as they taught the faith to their congregations in preaching. The Catechism is in a question and answer format and is composed of 107 questions and answers. Question 67: WHICH IS THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT Answer 67: The sixth commandment is, “ THOU SHALT NOT KILL”
