 11 Things To Know: 1. Minnesota and Anaheim face off after playing each other Sunday in Anaheim. The Wild outshot the Ducks, 35-22, but Anaheim usedan empty-net goal to secure a 4-1 victory, the Wild’s only regulation loss this season. 2. After a stretch where Minnesota played three games in 11 days, the Wild plays its second game of stretch which sees six Wildgames in 10 days, including four games on home ice. Minnesota is 2-0-0 on home ice this season and went 22-13-6 at Xcel EnergyCenter last season. 3. Wild Captain Mikko Koivu has a four-game point streak (2-2=4) and ranks third on the Wild with five points (2-3=5) in six games thisseason. Koivu is in his 11th NHL season, all with the Wild, after being selected as the Wild’s first-round draft pick in 2001. He is thefranchise leader in assists (359), points (505) and multi-point games (115), second in games played (687), goals (146) and game-winning goals (25) and third in power-play goals (43). Last season with Minnesota, he posteda 27-9-2 record, a franchise-record .936 SV% and 1.78 GAA in 39 games, including a franchise-record 38 straight starts. He wasawarded the NHL’s 2015 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy for perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey, voted by thePHWA, and was a finalist for the NHL’s Vezina Trophy, finishing third in voting by NHL General Managers. 8. Nino Niederreiter has a goal in each of his last two games, ranking T-2nd on the Wild with three goals this season. Last season, hebecame the first set career highs in goals (24), points (37) and blocked shots (32), leading the Wild a career-high five GWG and 155hits. He became the first Switzerland-born player to score at least 20 goals in an NHL season. 9. Mike Yeo was named the Minnesota Wild’s third Head Coach on June 17, 2011. He has led the Wild to the Stanley Cup Playoffs three straightseasons after a five-year absence. The Wild's 100 points in 2014-15 was the second-highest total in franchise history. The Wild are 154-111-35(.572) in his five seasons as Head Coach and 11-17 in the playoffs. Yeo helped lead the Wild’s AHL affiliate, the Houston Aeros, to a 46-28-1-5record and the Calder Cup Final in his first season as a Head Coach in 2010-11. The Aeros led the Western Conference and ranked third in theAHL with 46 wins after not qualifying for the playoffs in 2010. Yeo served as an Assistant Coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins (2005-10). Duringhis tenure in Pittsburgh, the Penguins claimed the 2007-08 Atlantic Division title, advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals twice and won the 2009Stanley Cup.
