MINUTES OF 140th MEETING OF NORTHERN REGIONAL COMMITTEE HELD ON 25TH APRIL TO 26TH APRIL 2009The 140th meeting of the Northern Regional Committee (NRC), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) was held from 25th to 26th

APRIL, 2009 at Conference Hall, NRC, NCTE, Jaipur. The following members were present:

Dr. O.V.S.Sikarwar, Convener RD, NRC, NCTE welcomed the Hon’ble Chairperson and members of Northern Regional Committee.

With the permission of the Chairperson, Dr. O.V.S.Sikarwar (Convener) presented the Agenda before the Committee. Agenda-wise decisions taken were as follows:-

S.L. No.1 Agenda Item No.140.01.00 Confirmation of the minutets of the 139th meeting of NRC. The minutes of 139 meeting of NRC held on 10th to 12th April 2009 have been uploaded on the website of NRC.

The committee confim the minutes of 139th meeting with following amendments: 1. 138th appearing in the first line is to be read as 139th. 2. NRC decision in respect of S.S. MEMORIAL (P.G) COLLEGE, file no. UP-3221, page no. 76, is to be read as LOI may be issued. Institution is to be asked to transfer the land in the name of institution within 90 days.

exist. Furniture kept in the multipurpose was hired from Ankit Tent

House as painted on the back of the chair. Furniture available in the Classrooms and Labloratories are

neither suitable nor adequate. The built-up area for B.Ed. is not earmarked. Degrees and experience certificate in Original in respect of

Principal/HOD and all the staff were not shown to VT members and the copy of the same has not been attached.

Hence, the Regional Committee is of the opinion that the case is fit for rejection. However, an opprtunity is being given to the Institute to respond to the above mentioned points within a period of 30 days.

The NRC deliberated upon the complaint filed by Dr. Mukut Nath Verma, former Lecturer, and carefully scrutinized all the documents submitted by the complainat and also the status report and other replies supported by the relevant documents submitted by the Management of Delhi Teachers Training College, Najafgarh, New Delhi, read along with the report submitted by the VT members. The NRC comes to the conclusion that the allegations made in the complaint against the college have hardly any substance. The matter is, therefore, disposed accordingly.
