Fellow Hereford breeders,

Welcome to the 2015-2016 Missouri Hereford Association Breeders’ Directory. All of the breeders listed in this directory have worked for years to bring superior genetics to fulfill all your needs for seedstock or commercial breeding. After the record setting prices for cattle in 2014, we must strategize how to further improve our industry. We have an opportunity to continue last year’s trend, provided that we maintain the traditional traits of the Hereford breed: docility, longevity, fertility, feed conservation, and other positive traits. A combination of these distinctly Hereford characteristics with the implementation of new technology -- such as EPD’s, 50K-DNA testing, ultrasound, and the expansion of AI/ET programs -- enables Missouri breeders to produce top quality genetics for all of our fellow cattlemen. We can also benefit one another through this directory and other avenues in the state, like the Missouri Opportunity Sale, Missouri Hereford Field Days Tour, local or state fairs, and communication with fellow breeders. Through the maintenance of traditional Hereford traits, new technology, and cooperation amongst ourselves, the Hereford Breeders of Missouri can achieve great success again in 2015.
