    1.Outline of operation

This control equipment is consisted of combinedcontrols of the proportional position control and

the on/o control. Namely, during the burner isburning, detecting the boiler steam pressure, thecombustion rate can be continuously regulated, according to the signal value of the pressureconverter, which is used as a controlling despatch

device or when the steam pressure is raised to anupper limit value, the burner can be automaticallye!tinguished by means of pressure switch or whendropped to a lower limit value, the burner can beautomatically ignited.

The following safeguard devices are provided " no voltage of power circuit low water level of boiler decrease of oil temperature overload of forced draft fan #ame failure during combustion low oil pressure of fuel oil.

$hen any of the above safeguard devices hasdetected abnormal condition, the burner is to beautomatically e!tinguished, and even if the startingswitch has turned to the start, the burner cannot beignited again, unless the abnormal conditionchanges into the normal operational condition.

5.1 The equipment cannot start, even if

the start switch has turned to AstartB

2+irst, ascertain the lights out of the low oil temperature

pilot lamp -3 .20scertain the normal level of the boiler water.2*t should be ascertain that the boiler steam pressure isnot at the upper limit, that is at which the burner ise!tinguished automatically by means of on/o controlby the steam pressure gauge.

20scertain the light of the electric source pilot lamps-31 and -3%.20scertain the perfectness of every fuses. $hen thefuel is cut o , the pilot lamp -3% 'tted on the upper partof the panel does not light.2Try to push the reset button.

20fter the above described ascertainments have beencompleted, the circuit of the outer interloc( connections aretried to short circuit.

*f the equipment start at this time, some of theapparatus connected to the outer interloc( connection are ina failure

The % 7 contacts are to be short circuited. *f the equipmentstarts at this time, the oil temperature regulating thermostatis in a wrong condition, and therefore it should be readCustedor e!changed. 2$hen it does not start by the short circuit of

% 7 and 9+4 contacts should be short circuited. *f it isstarted by this, the 4 contact of the relay 9+ is wrong, andtherefore it should be inspected and adCusted or e!changed.

2The 4 contact of the outer interloc( contact are performed inthe same inspection method, and the contact of the timer, the by8pass switch and the start switch *4 should beinspected and e!changed respectively.

2$hen it is not started by the above inspection method, therelay coil 5 and the circuit line will be cut o or theircontacts will be wrong and so it is necessary to repair ore!change these parts.

5.% @quipment can start, but it cannot beignited.

20scertain that the spar( is being produced.

2+or D.@. igniter, refer the e!planation note, 'led in the rear.

2$hen this spar( discharge of D.@. igniter have beencon'rmed, it may be decided that cause of failure is in themain burner.

2The oil temperature should be chec(ed, whether it is at thepredetermine value by means of the thermometer 'tted onthe header outlet or the actual measurement. *f theindication of the thermometer is wrong, it should bereadCusted or e!changed.

20scertain the operation of the fuel oil valve solenoid%17.0fter 56 sec from start, the sound AbangB is heard and thesolenoid is to wor( so as to open the fuel oil valve.

2*f the solenoid does not wor(, inspect the circuit if thecircuit is bro(en, e!change it. :oreover this solenoid isthe standard one of the ma(er.

20fter this solenoid has been e!changed or repaired, ascertain that it is in a relative position such as conditionthat the valve arm is being fully pushed into the attractedpiece, being fully contacted with the '!ed piece.

2*f there is a roar or an e!traordinary generation of heat, they are the sign that the relative position is slipped downfrom regular position.

2The dirtiness of the atomi>er and the position of the burneretc should be ascertained and inspected.

2$hen the con'rmation and repair of the above descriptionhave been completed and the fuel oil valve wor(s, thereis no clogging in the oil pipelines and no lea(age in thepipe arrangement and valves etc. $hen the [email protected] been ignited and the valves have been opened, the

fuel oil being sprayed should ignite the burner.

    5. @quipment is spontaneously stoppedduring combustion.

2$hen the #ame is e!tinguished and the equipment isstopped, they may be caused by the factors above E5.1and 5.%F

2*t should be ascertain that the stop is not caused by thepressure switch owing to the boiler steam pressure raisedup to the set upper limit.

20scertain that the water level in the boiler is in normalcondition.

20scertain than the fan is running.

2 *f the oil temperature is lowered the burner stops.2$hen the equipment is stopped in spite of the #ame is

burning, it should be run opening the front door of thecontrol panel and switching on the bypass switch, immediately after the main burner has been ignited. *f itcan be run at this time, the ignition detection devices +and + are incorrect.

2The detection part should be withdrawn and the lens glassetc should be cleaned, and wiped.

2The contact of the pin part of the relay unit should also beinspected.

2:oreover, the characteristics and the speci'cation of the&ds should be referred to the appended 'gures.

2*t should be ascertained whether the settlement of the trip

    percentage is good or not.

2*n order to see whether the overload relay the electro8magnetic switch for the +. . fan motor is wor(ing or not, push the reset.

5.5 @ven if the start switch *4 is in stopposition, the equipment is not stopped.

2Opening the door of the control panel, try tocut o the connection of either 14 switch.

2$hen the equipment stops in this case, thestart switch *4 will be failed, and therefore

inspection and adCustment or renewal of theswitch should be done.

team 4low &ircuit"0 steam device is installed in order to blow residual oil

    out of the sprayer body.

&onditions" The heavy oil pump operates and the oil pressure is 1I to%1 Jg at circulation.Gif the oil pressure is not applied to the control valve, steam may blow into the oil side.H

Operation"$hen the steam blow switch on the panel is set atAblowB, at e!tinction Gincl. election of blow circuit"

*t can be considered that the burner is turned on o at all timesduring anchorage, it is practical to set the blow circuit switch atAO++B during anchorage.

team is not blown but after8purge is done after ;; sec.$hen predicted that automatic additional burning is requiredduring navigation, set the steam blow changeover switch atA43O$B, then the above steam blow will be done.$hen heavy oil 0 is used, steam blow is necessary.

    :aintenance"

*n case of steam lea(age through solenoid valve, completelytighten up the chec( valve.team solenoid valve and reverse drain solenoid valve, completely tighten up the chec( valve.team solenoid valve and reverse drain solenoid screwed chec(valve, completely close the chec( valve to stop inCection of oilfrom the drain solenoid valve outlet.
