Combustion Management Systems Mk.7 Data Transfer Interface Overview The Autoflame Data Transfer Interface (D.T.I.) is a Gateway for communicating with the Autoflame M.M./E.G.A. range of products. The D.T.I .can collect and store information from a maximum of ten Autoflame Systems in one location. The information gathered is later available for transmission to an external source via RS232, RS422 and Ethernet data links. The data gathered by the Autoflame DTI can be collected and viewed using the included PCDTI software, which allows data collection over a local network, or over the internet. The Mk.7 D.T.I. also supports the Modbus protocol as standard. Main Features The DTI can collect information from up to 10 of each of the following Autoflame products: Mk.7 MM, Mini Mk.7 M.M. or any combination to a total of 10 units. Autoflame Exhaust Gas Analyser; either used in conjunction with an M.M. Module for trim or linked directly to the DTI for monitoring purposes only. Up to 10 Input Output modules with both analogue and digital connections. There are up to 150 items of information that are viewable via the DTI from each MM and EGA. Below are some typical examples: M.M. Fuel/Air Ratio Data: M.M. type – Mk.7, Mini Mk.7 Required and actual boiler temperature or pressure. Burner maximum firing rate, Burner firing rate (%). Fuel selected, flow metering values. Control detector type (temperature/pressure). Auto/hand/low flame hold operation. Number of control channels optioned showing both actual and commissioned positions. Maximum/minimum set point accepted from D.T.I. Burner firing status (off, firing, purge, ignition, off line). Lead boiler status, Sequencing optioned. Sequence status (on, stand-by, warm, off). Enable/disabled status, Error conditions. Flame Safeguard Functions: Hours run, Number of start-ups. Lockout status & code. Gas pressure, online & commissioned. Oil pressure, online & commissioned. Air pressure, online & commissioned. Water Level Control Functions: Operational information- steam and feedwater Temperature, pump status and valve position. Alarm status and First out annunciation. Probe information- temperature, signal value. Steam flow metering data. EURO PATENT APPLICATION NO. 10151584.9 - UK PATENT APPLICATION NO. 0907125.9 - US PATENT APPLICATION NO. 12/465411

Mk.7 Data Transfer Interface

OverviewThe Autoflame Data Transfer Interface (D.T.I.) is a Gateway for communicating with the Autoflame M.M./E.G.A. range of products.

Main FeaturesThe DTI can collect information from up to 10 of each of the following Autoflame products:• Mk.7 MM, Mini Mk.7 M.M. or any combination to a total of 10 units.• Autoflame Exhaust Gas Analyser; either used in conjunction with an M.M. Module for trim or linked directly to the DTI for monitoring purposes only.• Up to 10 Input Output modules with both analogue and digital connections. There are up to 150 items of information that are viewable via the DTI from each MM and EGA. Below are some typical examples:

M.M. Fuel/Air Ratio Data:• M.M. type – Mk.7, Mini Mk.7• Required and actual boiler temperature or pressure.• Burner maximum firing rate, Burner firing rate (%).• Fuel selected, flow metering values.• Control detector type (temperature/pressure).• Auto/hand/low flame hold operation.• Number of control channels optioned showing both actual and commissioned positions.• Maximum/minimum set point accepted from D.T.I.• Burner firing status (off, firing, purge, ignition, off line).• Lead boiler status, Sequencing optioned.• Sequence status (on, stand-by, warm, off).• Enable/disabled status, Error conditions.

Flame Safeguard Functions:• Hours run, Number of start-ups.• Lockout status & code.• Gas pressure, online & commissioned.• Oil pressure, online & commissioned.• Air pressure, online & commissioned.

Water Level Control Functions:• Operational information- steam and feedwater• Temperature, pump status and valve position.• Alarm status and First out annunciation.• Probe information- temperature, signal value.• Steam flow metering data.

EGA. Information:The following information is viewable as streaming visual data through the touch-screen, and stored within the DTI:• O2 , CO2 , CO, NO, SO2 or NO2 percentile & ppm values.• Exhaust temperature, combustion efficiency, fuel consumption and emissions auditing data.• EGA error conditions.• Cell degridation.

DTI Input values:•Alter setpoint (individual and global).•Select lead boiler, enable/disable burner.•Shuffle Sequencing •Input Output labelling and control.•Remote Load Index Control

The Autoflame network operates using a two core screened cable. The DTI poles each item on the network periodically, storing up-to-date information on the DTI and outputs to defined Modbus addresses, which are then available to third party systems. The DTI features dedicated data ports for RS232, RS422 and Ethernet connections. The 10.4” touch-screen displays the operational status of the DTI’s communications, with corresponding error conditions in the event of a communication failure.

Autoflame Win PC DTI Plant Manager/Supervisor- Remote Monitoring and Control Software• Fully EPA Approved• Customizable site layouts, boiler images, site naming, acilliaries, mechanical and electrical drawings.• Ability to view live streamed data through a Mk.7 and EGA Screen.• Support of either RS232, RS422 or Ethernet connection• Remote or Local control• Retrieve MM data• Data syncronization from DTI to PC.• Remote connection to DTI over internet or LAN.

Continuous Emission Monitoring SoftwareThe Autoflame PCDTI software also provides CEMS logging of the following information:• Flow-metering and on-line Exhaust Gas Analysis data, both instantaneous and totalised values for the following: O2, CO2, H2O, NO, CO, SO2, N2, total emissions as a weight and corresponding volume at Exhaust exit temperature and pressure.• Heat input, heat loss and net useful heat.• Net efficiency, Gross efficiency and ∆T• Fuel flow per hour, fuel flow totalised • Calculates cost of fuel used, cost per tonne

The data is sampled at 1 minute intervals and stored internally on the DTI.
