Dear Guests,

At a ceremonial event in 2006 we opened the fully renewed Vasas Pasarét Sport Center with the help of MKB Euroleasing. Two years later we organized our first international youth basketball tournament in the beautiful basketball hall with the participation of teams from four countries. The success of the Vasas International Cup can be easily seen on the quality of high-reputation European basketball clubs participated such as FC Barcelona (Spain), Cibona Zagreb (Croatia), Bosna Sarajevo (Bosnia-Herzegovina), Olimpija Ljubljana (Slovenia), Sabonis Basketball Center (Lithuania), LPS Basket (Romania), Olimpia AJ Milano (Italy), Stella Azurra Rome (Italy), BC Par-tizan Beograd (Serbia), and KK Podgorica (Montenegro) over the last 5 years. We consider the participation of youth players extremely important in such tournaments to gain knowledge about other basketball cultures as it is essential regarding their future achievements.

Special thanks to MKB-Euroleasing and Hungarian Basketball Federation (MKOSZ) for its support to the organization of this basketball tournament. We hope all the teams and its fans will spend a pleasant and unforgettable weekend in Budapest and finally, we wish good luck for all.
