MobileFrame’s Asset Management in Depth MobileFrame is a complete solution, which means that everything required to manage the project is built in, eliminating the need to purchase any third party applications to manage your mobile projects. Some of the Asset Management features include: 1. Remote Manager

a. From the console, Administrators can monitor battery life, free memory, last date started and last sync date for each user:

b. Administrators can also send alert messages to mobile workers which facilities communication with the field force. Once the mobile worker views the alert message, a read receipt is shown on the desktop:

2. Client Preferences

a. Lock down devices in Kiosk Mode

i. Devices can be locked down in Kiosk Mode to prevent users from installing games or applications that IT would then be forced to support. This prevents users from downloading programs that may inadvertently introduce viruses on their devices.

ii. Administrators can also control the menu access, thereby giving the

user access to only those menu items they deem appropriate.

3. Synchronization Management

a. Customers can set sync preferences so the system will begin synching at your

preferred times or based on an event within the data collection process. If no network is available at the defined times, the system will keep trying to sync until successful. This process is autonomous with the mobile worker taking no action. If the mobile worker’s connectivity is lost in the middle of synchronizing data, the system tracks where it left off and will begin syncing again from the exact same place when connectivity becomes available again. This feature greatly minimizes transmission costs and optimizes user productivity:

b. Inactivity Lockout

i. The device can be locked out after a configurable number of minutes

of inactivity, requiring that a password be used to unlock it. This built in security feature protects the data should the user misplace his device.

ii. Administrators can set the frequency for the system to capture

statistics such as battery life, memory usage, last sync date, etc.

6. System Operations:

a. Administrators have the ability to Log off users remotely, compact their databases, apply system updates and even forcibly logoff users:

7. Remote Software Updates

a. Mobile workers' devices can be updated without hassle or device recall. Simply import any update files and on the next synchronization all updates will be sent to the device, activated, and applied automatically:
