Students can access the following both at home and school:

• Audio support for textbooks and literature

• Podcasts of ESL lessons

• Educational Applications

• Videos selected by the teacher

• Voice memo recordings

• Filtered Internet content (if wi-fi is available)

Student ResponsibilityStudent Responsibility

• The student will be responsible for taking care of the iPod to prevent damage.

- The iPod is fragile and it will break if mistreated.

- Do not expose the iPod to extreme temperatures.

- Keep the iPod away from food and liquids.

- The student is not allowed to share or loan his or her iPod to others.

• The student will not attempt to alter the material or settings of the iPod and will not be allowed to sync it to a computer at home.

• The student will use the iPod for appropriate educational use, according to the Technology Acceptable Use Agreement found in the Student Handbook.

• The student will bring the iPod to school every day.

• The student can only use the iPod in approved areas at school.

• Hays CISD reserves the right to look at the contents of a student’s iPod at any time. They remain the property of Hays CISD and are on loan to the student.

• Parents will monitor the student’s use of internet outside of the classroom.

Failure to abide by these rules will result in the student’s loss of iPod privileges and may result in disciplinary action. Privileges will be restored at the teacher’s discretion. If the iPod is lost or stolen, a police report will be filed.

• El estudiante será responsable de cuidadar el iPod para evitar daños.

• El iPod es frágil y puede romperse de malos tratos.

• No exponga el iPod a temperaturas extremas.

• Mantenga el iPod lejos de comida y líquidos.

• No se le permitirá al estudiante compartir o prestar el iPod con otros estudiantes.

• El estudiante no intentara alterar el contenido del iPod y no se le permitirá hacer conexión con una computadora en la casa.

salones designados en la escuela.

• El distrito escolar de Hays CISD reserva el derecho de revisar el contenido del iPod del estudiante en cualquier momento. Los iPods son propiedad del distrito escolar de Hays CISD y solo son prestados a los estudiantes.

• Los padres van a vigilar el uso del Internet por los estudiantes cuando están fuera de la clase.
