Later in the program there is an entire module devoted to the Munich Airport

Munich Airport is the second busiest airport in Germany

It is also the southern hub of Lufthansa Airlines

From Airport to the City…The Munich Suburban Railway (S-Bahn) and buses connect the airport to the city center

You can buy a ticket from the bus driver

The Lufthansa Airport Bus departs from the Airport (Terminals 1 and 2) to the main train station (Hauptbahnhof) every 20 minutes

Staying There

Munich offers a wide variety of accommodation.

From low budget to five-star, from private run boutique-hotels to the large chains

Be careful! Room rates can skyrocket during Oktoberfest and other major events and trade shows

Getting Around the City

The best way of getting around the city is to use its excellent public

transport system MVV

This is an integrated system consisting of trams, buses, U-Bahn

trains (the underground) and S Bahn trains (the suburban trains)

Munich has cycle paths everywhere

Cycling is another great way of exploring the city

Bicycles are easily available on rent and there are a number of firms to choose from
