Activity 1: Discussion on common diseases
Divide into 3 groups. In your groups discuss:
• How to prevent common diseases and illnesses:- malaria and dengue- stomach-ache- allergies
• Present discussion outcome of the group• Other groups comment and contribute

Malaria and Dengue
• Always use mosquito net when sleeping• Use mosquito repellents when travelling to forests,
mountains, lakes, rivers.

• Don’t drink tap or unsafe water• Don’t eat unhygienic foods on the streets• Be careful when you advise tourists to try strange local
foods or drinks.

risk or not• Tell the class about it.

Prevent common accidents
Alert tourist to any possible safety risks that they may encounter:
1. Pets or animals 2. Do not collect or touch live insects 3. Pay attention when crossing the road 4. Wearing suitable shoes and clothes for excursions
5. Deposit valuable items and travel documents in a safe place at the hotel
6. Avoid go out alone at night
7. Carry minimum cash.
