dear mom,
just wanted to say thank you
for the two most important things you have taught me
in life....and that is a love
for the outdoors and the love of reading.
i did fail miserably at sewing,
especially when you heard me screaming
because i sewed my finger
with your blasted machine.
so now,
i staple things, hot glue thingsor duct tape things.
i learnedto adjust.
i also failed with gardening,
but luckily tayla and delaney have a natural knack for that.
i also want to say thank you
for helping trinity have a stable beginning when we both needed rescuing.
Oh, by the way,you and dadwere excellentbabysitters.
Dad would
bring trent
fishing and
you kept the
girls busy with
dolls and tea parties…but I’m really thankful you didn’t teach them the art of your cooking. (inside joke.)
But i am still working on the pet thing. larry keeps telling me ifhe wasn't here i would starve wall-e !!
when i realized you were fixing to leave the earth,
in my memory photobook,
i could see you frying your awesome crispy chicken
over the stovein that cast iron skillet,
you had that recipe down !!
i remember when you turned your head
I would steal those cut potatoes you were gonna fry.
i loved those things raw.
And so did dad.
it sure was funny when you realized you hadn't cut enough
and you had to cut more.....
then dad would come around the corner and grab some
And you would pop him, I thought this was funny, cuz he hadn’t learn to secretly swipe them.
like me.
that fried chicken also gives me awesome memories
of when aunt piggie and uncle skeete would meet us at spanish lake
and they would bringa dish and that had all the makings of a great sunday picnic …..
After, began a long afternoon offishing.
I had a blessed life that could easily
have gone in another direction if you and dad hadn't adopted me.
so thank you for that.
thank you for rescuing me.
and as you well know time is understood by its maker. so with this i say.......
see you soon.

and not a nagging,
overprotecting, domineering
daughter.

this story.
special thanks to mrs. debbie gibson
for serving folksand never
failing at
that.
special shout out to all the
Nurses/staff at Eastridge Nursing
Home.
they made my mothers stay easy. of course, there were times when she would have
rather been in her brown Recliner, in her own home,
sitting in front of the cable tv, eating hostess twinkies....
p.s. hey dad - watch over mom, cuz
shes gonna try to dig up the trees
along the ‘river of life’ and plant in her
area...
don't do it(….he carried around a shovel in his car for years and dug up anything she saw
or wanted----and wherever…lol )
(this time there might be a penalty !)
heehee
This is gonna be a little rough, sorta like…a missing puzzle piece. We gonna keep putting the puzzle together for its beauty, but each time we
glance at it, we realize the picture …..
it just ain’t right.
We all loved you and want to thank you for being at every event in our lives from chorus, band, graduations, weddings, or the many, many
church events.
Luv you.
Terri
Happy Mother’s Day !!
