Parent Portal Update including Android and Apple appDue to the migration, all parents will have to reactivate their parent portal accounts by following the steps on this page. http://www.lpgs.bromley.sch.uk/1221/parent-portalYou can also download the Firefly for Parents app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. This is LPGS.
Firefly MigrationWe have successfully migrated our Firefly system to the cloud. This should improve the performance of the system during busy times.Students have been sent the new instructions for logging in (the last reminder was sent on 20/01/20 at 7.00am).
Why should I log in to the parent portal?The parent portal gives you access to your child’s timetable, tasks, behaviour logs and attendance as well as access to subject areas containing lesson resources and other important information.In the future we will be sharing trip letters, consent forms and our medical form via Firefly so will need at least one parent/carer in each household to activate their account so they can access these documents easily when required.

What are we doing to support learning?
As we endeavour to support our students with their learning during Covid 19, you might be interested to know that teachers are working hard to embed the following routines:• Setting work on Firefly as the starting point, even where other platforms are then used
• Setting work in chunks to support your child in managing their time
• Setting tasks which must be completed by all, complemented by extension tasks and optional tasks
• Setting tasks which are varied and interesting
• Teaching some live lessons at sixth form level, where this is possible and appropriate
• Being clear about exactly which pieces of work need to be submitted and how
• A buddy system for Year 12 and Year 10 students
• Running alternative fun extra curricular activities on Microsoft Teams and social media
• Providing access to Unifrog for advice on careers and future pathways for Y12 and Y11
