My last and greatest Science Fair ever!

I would like to personally thank all the people that make such a huge undertaking possible at a school this size. Without

the dedication, support, and efforts of these people, science fair would not be nearly as successful. I would like to

thank our administration, Mr. Bertram and Mr. Harris, as well as our secretaries, Melissa Roe and Sheila Summers. In

addition, I would like to extend our gratitude for all of our custodial staff. Furthermore, we have a very cooperative and

the very best in the world of faculty. Their diligence in supporting the scientific process and flexibility in working with the

science fair itself are greatly appreciated. And last but not least, I would like to thank our CNMS PTO President Fancie

Renschler , her many volunteers -- Kathy Mulzer, Dana Hall, Molly Adams, Kelly Hall, Jennifer Nugent, Jennifer Smith,

Tiffany Bonnell, Natalie Daniel, Amanda Hermann, Frances Lockett, Trusha Shah, Julie Tron and Barbara Josenhans,

and the CNMS parents that helped with judging -- Tracy McConnell, Mary Miller, Linda Minto, Jim Trouba, Kate Renke-

ma, Rhonda Trippel, Dave Daniel, Kim Bailey, Nicky Spurling, Paul Nugent, Amy Kearney -- for the many hours they

spend to make the science fair a memorable event at CNMS.

Student Council’s Annual 3K Walk/Run Event

Castle North Middle School’s Student Council will be

sponsoring our ninth annual school-wide 3K walk/run

event in order to promote making healthy choices. This

event will take place on our campus on May 10, 2016.

During our event, we will inspire our students, staff, and

their families to develop lifelong and healthy habits. Our

3K event is an exciting and fun-filled day of exercise and

fitness education where CNMS and the community come

together to consider current choices we are making and

how we can make better choices to improve our overall

health. However, this cannot happen without help from

our community.

Although we are in need of donations of all kinds, we are

in great need of donations for t-shirts. Every year, we

provide each student and staff member with a shirt that

each person wears the day of our event. We are very

proud in the unity we have toward evaluating our person-

al choices and helping each other form goals of making

healthier choices. Students continue to wear these shirts

throughout the year both in school and in the community.

However, we do not have funding to provide these shirts.

As a result, we are asking our community members and

families to please help us with this. Any donation toward

our efforts would help immensely and be much appreci-

ated. Because we are in need of much funding, if your

business or your family would be willing to make a dona-

tion of $300 or more, we will place your business name

or family name on the back of each shirt as a way of

showing our appreciation for your generosity. We also

are in need of donations for bottled water, fruit pops,

door prizes, and awards. We would like to extend spe-

cial thanks to the Susec family and Team Health at St.

Mary’s Physicians for their contribution to the 3K. If you

would be willing to offer assistance, please contact Ms.

Killebrew ([email protected]) or Mrs.

Etienne ([email protected]).

Play For Kate

We are needing volunteers for the community build for

Kate's playground on March 5th - 6th in Boonville at the

Boonville Junior League Softball fields (behind the li-

brary). We will start at 8:00 a.m. CST and work until dark

on both days. Any and all volunteers are welcome. We

will have free food and drinks for all workers.

We are so excited to see this project come into fruition

and so thankful for everyone's love and support.

Please contact Mrs. Pryor at [email protected]

if you are available to help. Also, if you know of any clubs

or an organization that needs volunteer hours, please

have them contact Mrs. Pryor.

Mrs. Hogan, Mr. King & Mrs. Martin, SOS Sponsors

What a wonderful school we have at Castle North! I want to

thank all the parent volunteers who helped run the book fair each

day! I couldn’t have done it without you! I am so happy to see so

many students excited about reading! And of course, thank you to

all the teachers and staff that put up with all the book fair craziness!

We exceeded our last year’s sales and had no snow days! Watch

for new books to be added to the library soon!
