I am excited to share my first collection with Softline, which was inspired

by the architecture, landscape and lifestyles of some great neighborhoods in

my hometown, Chicago. If you have ever lived in Chicago or made a quick

stop there, you will be familiar with the special qualities neighborhoods like

Lincoln Park, West Loop and the Gold Coast have. And just for a little fantasy,

I have included the Del Mar Collection, because like every working mom, I am

dreaming of a fun day at the beach.

Gorgeous textiles have long been my starting point when it comes to designing

a space. I am hoping through my Monica Pedersen “Make It Beautiful”

Collection by Softline, you too will be inspired to “Make It Beautiful” in your

home and life through great design. XO,

Monica Pedersen’s enthusiasm for her career as an interior designer, author and television host is projected in all she does. As a designer featured in over 90 episodes of HGTV’s hit television series, Designed to Sell, and 50 episodes of Bang For Your Buck, she was also the regular host of HGTV’s Dream Home Giveaway and House Hunters Great Escapes. Monica quickly became a trusted design expert showing viewers how to add value to their homes and “Make It Beautiful” on any

budget. Her work as an interior design expert and television host can also be seen this spring in prime time on NBC’s new show, American Dream Builders.

In addition to her work on television, Monica is currently bringing her “Make It Beautiful” design style to retail, designing her own lines of home décor accessories, textiles and furnishings. Monica Pedersen “Make It Beautiful” Collection by Softline truly reflects her passion for fabric through this beautiful collection of window fashions and decorative pillows.

Monica also recently had her first book published, Monica Pedersen, “Make It Beautiful” (Agate Publishing), which features design ideas for entertaining at home.

Monica’s designs and tips have also been featured in national publications including People, HGTV, Redbook, Town and Country, Traditional Home, Good Housekeeping, InStyle, USA Today, Washington Post, Woman’s Day, and Family Circle. Monica was also featured as one of Chicago’s 50 most beautiful people in Chicago Magazine and is a contributing columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times Daily Splash column.

Renowned designer Nate Berkus hosts NBC’s bold new one-hour reality competition series, “American Dream Builders,” premiering Sunday, March 23, 2014, 8:00 p.m. EST.

Showcasing the talents of the most accomplished Designers and home builders in the country, “American Dream Builders” will pit 12 worthy contestants against one another in a high-stakes competition designed to push everyone’s creative reach. The show will celebrate creativity and style while revealing magazine-worthy home transformations.

With each weekly episode, two teams will take on a brand-new project and will be asked to redesign and renovate the space from the inside out – all in a matter of days. From Spanish to Tudor to mid-century modern, the designers will be expected to produce sweeping home renovations that bring a fresh, modern sensibility while remaining true to the home’s innate charm and design characteristics.

Joining Berkus on the show as judges are Eddie George, a former NFL All-Pro (Houston Oilers, Dallas Cowboys), Ohio State University Heisman Trophy winner turned landscape architect, and interior design expert Monica Pedersen (“Today Show,” HGTV’s “Designed to Sell”). Berkus, George and Pedersen will review the finished work and determine which team achieved the best results. After facing the panel of judges, the losing team must send one member home. In the finale, the final two designers will take on renovations for two impressive Southern California homes, bringing their unique visions to life.
