London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom. It is the UK's largest and most populous metropolitan area and the largest .

London is a leading global city and one of the world's largest financial centers with the largest city GDP in Europe. Central London is home to the headquarters of most of the UK's top 100 listed companies and more than 100 of Europe's 500 largest. London's influence in politics, finance, education, entertainment, media, fashion, the arts and culture in general contributes to its global position. It is a major tourist destination for both domestic and overseas visitors.

The London Bus is one of London's principal icons, the archetypal red rear-entrance double-deck Routemaster being recognised worldwide. Although the Routemaster has now been largely phased out of service, with only two heritage routes still using the vehicles,the majority of buses in London are still red and therefore the red bus remains an iconic symbol of the city.

The famous red phone booth was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and can also be found in Malta and Gibraltar.Red color was chosen so that the booths were more striking and quickly recognizable.

The London Underground is a rapid transit system serving a large part of Greater London and neighbouring areas of Essex, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire in the UK. With its first section opening in 1863, it was the first underground railway system in the world The name Underground' and colloquially as the Tube, although the latter term originally applied only to the deep-level bored lines.
