nO maintenance

Montrac is the only transport system requiring absolutely no maintenance! Mechanical components constitute a tiny portion of the overall system and were developed with longevity in mind. the trac itself is a passive element and is not subject to wear. the shuttle is self-propelled by a brushless DC motor. All bearings are sealed and lubricated for life. the components are pre-set and meet the most exacting quality standards. Since all components comply with EMC and ESD requirements, they are not a potential source of faults. A decision for Montrac is a decision for the most care-free system of all.

chaOS technOlOgy

today, products must be changed fre-quently. Increasingly, changes must occur without interrupting production. With Chaos technology, products can easily navigate through chaotic production processes without a centralized control system. In addition to providing chaotic routing capability, Chaos technology reduces the need for I/o hardware, programming, and cabling; and loca-lized controls make the system easy to reconfigure. While it offers customers a wealth of options and simplifies handling, Chaos technology does not increase the price of a system.

Im Bereich der Wartung setzt Montrac revolutionäre Massstäbe. Montrac ist das weltweit einzige transportsystem, welches gänzlich wartungsfrei ist! Der sehr geringe Anteil an mechanischen Komponenten wurde unter anderem in Hinblick auf ihre Langlebigkeit entwickelt. Angetrieben wird der Shuttle von einem bürstenlosen Gleichstrommotor. Alle Kugellager sind verschlossen und auf Lebenszeit geschmiert. Die Komponenten sind voreingestellt und entsprechen den höchsten Qualitätsansprüchen unserer Kunden. Heute passiert es immer häufiger, dass Produkte kurzfristig geändert werden müssen, sogar während des Produktions-prozesses. Die Chaos technology ist eine neue Methode wie man eine Montrac-Linie steuern kann. Dank der Chaos technology wird die chaotische Produk-tion sehr einfach gesteuert, sogar ohne externe Steuerung und ohne zusätzliche Kosten. Die Chaos technology entkoppelt die Fahrstrecke vom Prozess. Ihr Produkt weiss wo es hin muss und wie es dort hingelangt. Ihr Produkt steuert die Fahr-strecke! nebst der autonomen orientie-rungsfähigkeit können dank der Chaos technology Informationen über die Prozessergebnisse im Shuttle gespeichert werden. Die Chaos technology bietet dem Endkunden eine Fülle neuer Mög-lichkeiten, macht aber die Bedienung des Systems kontinuierlich einfacher.

tRavel time becOmeS pROductiOn time

Montrac has developed an additional current collector on the shuttle that can continuously supply 3 A at 24 VDC to the product. this opens up the possibility of processing the product while it is in transit. this technology has already been used to boot up electronic devices prior to entering test operations, resulting in 65% less process time. of course, the concept could be used in many other applications. Montrac does not give your product a moment’s rest, not even in transit.

FahRZeit wiRd ZuR pROduktiOnSZeit

In Ihrem Produktionsprozess ist alles bis auf die letzte Sekunde optimiert, kein Produkt soll an irgendeiner Stelle im Ablauf warten müssen, die Bearbeitungs-schritte sind hoch standardisierte Abläufe mit dem Ziel, die taktzeit zu optimieren und die Kosten zu senken. trotzdem wird auch bei Ihnen noch Produktionszeit verschenkt. Montrac bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, Ihre Werkstücke auch wäh-rend dem transport zu testen oder weiter zu bearbeiten. Die Möglichkeiten, welche sich durch eine Energieversorgung auf dem Shuttle ergeben – permanent verfüg-bar mit Maximalleistung 3A bei 24 VDC – sind praktisch unbegrenzt. Montrac is perfectly suited for clean-rooms. the shuttles are self-propelled and therefore have no dirty belts. there is no sliding friction to create particulate. Even its form reduces air turbulence. the standard components were designed for a class 1000 cleanroom. With minor adjustments we have reached class 100 according to US Federal standard 209E.

ReinRaum

Montrac besitzt durch seine Formge-bung und die komplette Ausstattung rein elektrisch angetriebener Komponenten die perfekten Voraussetzungen für den reinraum. Die Standardkomponenten sind für die reinraumklasse ISo 6 konzi-piert. Mit kleineren Anpassungen haben wir aber auch schon des öfteren die reinraumklasse nach ISo 5 mit unserem System bedient. Eine spezielle Version von Montrac ist für die reinraumklasse ISo 4 zertifiziert.

the new Montrac Shuttle can reach a maximum speed of 60 m/min. optionally even up to 90 m/min. therefore the new Shuttle is even faster and heavier loadable than the previous Shuttle and other traditional conveyor belt systems. the new Shuttle has a high-performance processor and the ability for wireless communication.

SchnelleR

Der neue Montrac Shuttle erreicht eine Geschwindigkeit von bis zu 60 m/min. optional sogar bis 90 m/min. Somit ist der neue Shuttle noch schneller und schwerer belastbar als der vorgängi-ge Shuttle (30m/min und maximale Zuladung von 28 kg) und traditionelle Förderband Systeme. Der neue Shuttle ist mit einem leistungsfähigeren Prozessor ausgestattet und verfügt über die Mög-lichkeit für Wireless-Kommunikation.

Quiet

At only <57dB, Montrac is quieter than a typical office. this is because the motors only run when the shuttles are in motion, and there are no pneumatic components or belts involved.

Mit seinen <57dB entspricht Montrac dem Geräuschpegel in einem Wald. Dies wird erreicht, indem der Motornur läuft, wenn der Shuttle fährt, keine pneumatischen Komponenten enthalten sind und kein Gurtantrieb benötigt wird (keine Friktion von Gurten, von Platte/Paletten, keine Stösse).

Several products on one pallet –With Montrac, the pallet can index through multiple positions presenting several parts to a production process. By having more stops closer together, the cycle time can be reduced. this also makes the system more economical by reducing the number of shuttles.

Steppen

Mehrere Produkte auf einer Platte –Mit Montrac können teile in Palettenan-ordnung schrittweise durch eine Bear-beitungsstation (Positioniervorrichtung mehrfach) getaktet werden. So kann eine Bearbeitungsachse eingespart werden. Dadurch wird die taktzeit verbessert und die Anzahl Shuttles in einer Anlage reduziert.

there are no hard stops on a Montrac system. the shuttle reads flags or “cams” placed along the trac that tell it where to stop. there is also an optical sensor integrated in the shuttle that recognizes obstacles. In each case, the shuttle slows to a stop to protect impact-sensitive products.

tRacSwitchthe switch serves to divide and merge traffic into/away from multiple paths. Parallel lines can be as close as 560 mm together thanks to the small radii. the tracSwitch operates electrically and is powered directly from the trac.Die Weiche dient dazu, Shuttles von einer Fahrspur auf zwei zu verteilen und umgekehrt. Durch die engen radien werden Bypässe und Verzweigungen auf eng- stem raum realisiert. Die tracSwitch arbeitet elektrisch und wird direkt über die Stromschienen gespeist.

tRacthe monorail is made of clear anodized aluminium extrusion. the bus bars are on one side, and the t-slots accept flexible control elements on the other. the trac easily mounts to our profile system.Die Monoschiene besteht aus einem farblos elo-xierten Aluminium-Strangpressprofil. Shuttlethe shuttles are intelligent self-propelled vehicles. they are available with a single drive axle or two drive axles. Integrated sensors avoid collisions with other shuttles or obstacles. Die Shuttles sind die intelligenten Förderfahrzeuge. Ein Shuttle ist mit einer Antriebsachse oder als Zwei-Achsen-Shuttle erhältlich. Jeder Shuttle verfügt über eine Sensorik, die mögliche Kollisionen mit anderen Shuttles oder Hindernissen ausschliesst.

tRavel cOntROl with iRmthe IrM/ISM (Intelligent routing Modules & Intelli-gent Shuttle Modules) are used to control the track and shuttles of a Montrac system. pOSitiOning unitA Positioning Unit is used where a shuttle needs to be positioned exactly and/or if the plate requires ad-ditional support while being processed. A standard variation is the Multiple Positioning Unit (MPV) which allows the shuttle to index to multiple stops.Eine Positioniervorrichtung wird verwendet, wenn ein Shuttle genau positioniert werden soll und/oder wenn die Platte beim Bearbeitungsvorgang zusätzlich abgestützt werden muss. Scale mOdulethe scale module is a Supotrac with a built-in high-precision scale from the Eilersen company.As the Shuttle drives in the Supotrac, the pallets are lifted and weighed with accuracy to within 1/10 gram – no impact or vibration. Das Waagemodul ist ein Supotrac mit eingebauter Hochpräzisionswaage der Firma Eilersen. Die Werk-stückträgerplatten werden angehoben und können so bis auf 1/10 Gramm genau und erschütterungs-frei gewogen werden.
