FACULTY EDUCATIONAL AND CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS 2018

An October 2018 article in the Chronicle of Higher Education listed four qualities that powerful

teachers have in common: personality, presence, preparation, and passion. These traits are all in

evidence in the educational and creative achievements accomplished by Moravian faculty during 2018.

The level of creativity, preparation, and commitment to one’s discipline and subject matter give

Moravian students the inspiration to learn, to explore new areas of knowledge, and to grow into

productive citizens. The highlights of achievements include art shows, presentations, posters, grants, and

regular columns. Faculty shared their expertise and research in nearby venues, such as the Lehigh Valley

and Hershey, across the country in Boston, San Diego, New Orleans, and Las Vegas, and abroad in

Goleniow, Poland, and Vancouver, Canada. This level of engagement shows a deep dedication to the

pursuit of life-long learning.

It is with great pride that I host the 4th Annual Educational and Creative Achievements reception

for the Moravian Faculty.
