More than 150 years of engineering innovation
1867: Jakob Sandt establishes a company for manufacturing and repairing of machines and tools for the shoe industry, later adding cutting machines to the product portfolio.
1910: Johannes Schön and Max Grund establish the Schön company, a shoe machine manufacturer.
1930: The company manufactures its fi rst hydraulic drive, pump and control systems; further expansion is made into the car andautomotive supply industries.
1950: Market launch of the fi rst Schön cutting machine using a swing arm.
1967: Schön signs a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian company KAEV.
1996: Schön and Sandt announce merger, becoming Schoen + Sandt Maschinenbau GmbH; expansion of the cutting ma-chine product range.
2007: A group of private investors announce the take over of Schoen + Sandt Maschinenbau GmbH, merger with Leiner Stanz-technik GmbH and TSM company, the new entity is called Schoen + Sandt Machinery GmbH.
2017: schoen + sandt machinery GmbH joins forces with CGS to take a strategic quantum leap together towards further inter-nationalizing its business. For this purpose, the Holding Inter-national Cutting Group (ICG Group) GmbH with headquarters in Pirmasens was founded.
