At back to school night, Mrs. Klassen shared our

motivation for what we as educators hope to accomplish

here at Morningside Academy: to use education as a

platform to share Christ.

On Saturday, as we gathered together to celebrate

Gerhardt’s life and testimony, I could not help but reflect

on Mrs. Klassen’s words spoken the week before. Then

Pastor Tom closed with a challenge to use the time and

opportunity to ensure our hearts were right just as

Gerhardt’s was.

Yes, we grieve while rejoicing that Gerhardt is in Heaven.

Knowing that Morningside Academy had a part in his

development confirms our motivation to share the gospel

with each student before time runs out.

As I close, I realize that the title is wrong. Mission NOT

accomplished. There is still a hurting world that needs to

hear and see Jesus before it is to late. Are you ready to see

Him?
