7.2.3 Configuration of one step dialing DID mode ♦ Configuration of DID mode
SIP device can make one step dialing call to VODNET or other SIP phone by DID mode. In real application, please make sure that two steps dialing is OK before applying DID mode.
MOSA 3700, SIP Phone, Softphone is like the extension of VODNET. All digits dialed after hook off the extension, is sent to MOSA SIP Line. MOSA SIP Line receives the digits and dial out the number the same as the number which extension dial.
When SIP device make one step dialing to MOSA 4600B SIP Line, MOSA 4600B SIP Line will analyze the number that SIP device dial and create the route to VODNET directly. When this mode is enabled, all digits dialed from SIP device is transferred to MOSA 4600B SIP Line
Configuration:
1. Enable the DID (Direct Inward Dial) mode. The first few digits transferred from SIP Proxy can be deducted. For example, incoming call is 12345671021 and Prefix Length is configured to 7, then 1021 is dialed for two-steps dialing. How many digits can be deducted can be configured at web page. The digits left is dialed from MOSA 4600B SIP Line to device of VODNET or SIP. Please Enable this function and configure Prefix Length to 0

For some NAT device, it disconnects the connection of IP device (SIP Phone, MOSA 3700) if they fail to send any packet in a period of time. When these device send packet again via NAT device again, the mapping port No. is changed and it causes the connection fail. If NAT Traversal function is activated, MOSA 4600B SIP Line send packet every 50 seconds to where the packet come from and it can make sure the port mapping inside and outside NAT device intact.
This function helps the SIP Phone or SIP Gateway (MOSA 3700) that use Private IP behind NAT and there are no STUN server supported, to penetrate NAT to register MOSA 4600B SIP Line. When SIP phone or SIP gateway react the packet sent from MOSA 4600B SIP Line, it keeps the IP/Port mapping intact inside and outside NAT. It keeps the connection alive.

Dialing Method
♦ If SIP user dial 73797 only, he/she will hear second dial tone. (MOSA 4600B SIP Line seize free channel, such as Channel 8. If there is second incoming 73797 SIP call, system will seize Channel 9.) Then user can dial VODNET number, such as 88.
8.3.2 One step dialing DID Mode Concept: MOSA 3700 (SIP device) can act as an extension of VODNET, any digits dialed after
pick up handset will be transferred to MOSA SIP Line. The dialing behavior of MOSA SIP Line after it receives the digit, is the same as pick up extension and dial number. (Using this function, SIP Proxy for registration of SIP device must support DID mode)
As the example figure above, make one step dialing from SIP Device 73795 to SIP Line Server. SIP Line server can analyze the number that SIP device 73795 dials and create route to VODNET side directly.
Configuration:
Channel 8, 9 of MOSA 4600B SIP Line all joins to SIP Entity 1. SIP user dial Prefix and call route is built to the extension of MOSA 4600 (MOSA 4600B SIP Line had create Prefix to point to the extension of MOSA 4600), and then that extension rings.
The configuration is the same as two steps dialing and only need to configure more on DID mode.
1. Please contact with SIP ISP to enable and configure the DID mode of SIP Proxy. When this mode is enabled, all digits that SIP device dial is transferred to MOSA 4600B SIP Line.
2. Configure Prefix Length of DID mode. The first few digits transferred from SIP Proxy can be deducted. How many digits will be deducted can be configured at Web page. The digits left will dial from MOSA 4600B SIP Line to VODNET
Web Folder:Advanced\SIP
Dialing Method
♦ SIP Proxy had applied DID mode and configure it that all number which SIP device dial are all transferred to MOSA 4600 SIP Line, then MOSA 4600B SIP Line use Prefix Length 5 (see configuration below). SIP user dial 7379788 (Configure Prefix 88 = 886-2-82263368-11 at MOSA 4600B SIP Line in advance. 886-2-82263368 is the full number of MOSA 4600), then call route is built to extension 11 of MOSA 4600. Extension 11 rings.
Configure DID Prefix Length at Web Folder:Advanced\SIP

8.4 From VODNET to Different SIP Concept: Many MOSA 4600B SIP Line can connect to the same VODNET environment to create call route to different SIP environment. By this way, Machine extension in VODNET can consider SIP phone in different SIP ISP as extension. No matter where SIP phone user is located, if SIP phone is connected to IP network, user in VODNET can dial extension number to SIP Phone.
Configuration:
MOSA 4600 side (for detail, please refer to MOSA 4600 user manual):
1. Configure IP address, My Phone Number: 886-2-82263368 and register it to NETMOSA+.

9. SIP Authentication for Incoming Call For security reason, the incoming SIP calls may have to pass the authentication (can be disable) for VODNET call. The authentication is described below.
9.1 SIP Inbound authentication (for Client and Server mode)
Note: To simplify configuration, Firmware 1.06.2 or above does not provide this kinds of authentication in Client mode, owing to rare use in practical case. Generally speaking, Client does not request authentication from other side. Mis-configure the setting cause connection fail.
By this authentication, input information of Realm, Username, and Password in Web Folder: Advanced-SIP\Inbound Auth of MOSA 4600B SIP Line. When SIP device make call to MOSA 4600B SIP Line, MOSA 4600B SIP Line request authentication from SIP device. SIP device send information of Realm, Username, Password for authentication. If authentication is OK, dial tone is heard and make VODNET call is available. If authentication is fail, busy tone is heard.
By this authentication, it has to input Realm, Username and Password in SIP device (such as MOSA 3700, Softphone)
For the example below: Input Realm, Username and Password into MOSA 4600B SIP Line
Web Folder of MOSA 4600B SIP Line: Advanced-SIP\Inbound Auth
Input Realm: vodtel, select such as Entity 2, Username: 3400, Password: 3375 (Note: all incoming call can use the same Entity, such as Entity 1. For Username, we suggest you to use default extension number, such as 1011~1099. For extension number, please refer to ...
Attention: For Firmware 1.05 or above, if you activate this authentication, Username of SIP Inbound authentication must be consistent with the SIP URI. In other words, SIP URI number is also used as Username of SIP Inbound authentication. For the description of SIP URI, please refer to next section.
MOSA 4600B SIP Line user manual
61
If other SIP device such as MOSA 3700 or SIP phone that dial Public Address of Entity 2 has to pass the authentication of MOSA 4600B SIP Line, then the same information, Realm: vodtel, Username: 3400, Password: 3375 has to be entered in the Outbound Authentication of MOSA 3700 (SIP client device)
The Web Folder of MOSA 3700:Advanced-SIP\Outbound Auth
When this user of MOSA 3700 make call to MOSA 4600B SIP Line Entity 2, it provides the same authentication data of MOSA 4600B SIP Line SIP Entity 2, then user hear dial tone and he/she can dial VODNET number or SIP Extension next. When other MOSA 3700 or SIP Phone that have different Realm, Username, Password makes call to MOSA 4600B SIP Line, busy tone is heard.
Please refer to 11.9 Advanced-SIP\Inbound Auth for the method of configuration
9.2 Caller ID authentication (for Server Mode only) Note: To simplify configuration, Firmware 1.06.2 or above does not provide this kinds of authentication, owing to rare use in practical case. Generally speaking, Caller ID is the same as the Username of SIP Inbound authentication, so use SIP Inbound authentication is OK.
By this authentication, SIP device (such as MOSA 3700, Softphone) has to send Caller ID spontaneous. Generally speaking, Caller ID is SIP number (SIP Entity number) and it is provided by SIP Proxy (MOSA 4600B SIP Line) owner and it is configured in SIP URI in Virtual Device field. MOSA 4600B SIP Line can verify the Caller ID sent from SIP device.
For this authentication, function can be Enabled or Disabled for each SIP Entity. Use SIP Entity 1 as example. Select SIP Entity 1 first.
Web Folder:Advanced-SIP\Common
Then, activate Caller ID function of that Entity.
Web Folder:Advanced-SIP\Common
MOSA 4600B SIP Line can join different Channel into the same SIP Entity. So configures the
62
Channels that need Caller ID authentication to join Entity, such as Entity 1.
Web Folder:Channel\Configuration
Web Folder:Channel\Configuration
And then, input Caller ID for authentication in individual Channel. For the example below, use 412260, then the caller ID authentication for that channel is 412260 and the channel join SIP Entity 1 of this machine. System had been pre-configured 1010~1099 number (SIP URI) for authentication and you can use it without change.
Attention: For Firmware 1.05 or above, if you activate this authentication, SIP URI (Caller ID) must be consistent with the Username of SIP Inbound authentication. In other words, SIP URI number is also used as Username of SIP Inbound authentication. For the description of SIP Inbound authentication, please refer to previous section.
Web Folder:Channel\Configuration
After above configuration, the incoming call to that Channel must come from SIP phone 412260 (Caller ID). If Caller ID of the incoming call is not 412260, then busy tone is heard, because only 412260 can make call to this Channel.
9.3 PIN code authentication (for Server Mode only) Note: To simplify configuration, Firmware 1.06.2 or above does not provide this kinds of authentication in Client mode, owing to rare use in practical case. Mis-configure the setting cause connection fail.
By this authentication, user of SIP device has to dial extra PIN Code+# for authentication after he/she make call to MOSA 4600B SIP Line. If authentication is successful, second dial tone is heard. If PIN Code dialed is not correct or no PIN Code dialed, busy tone is heard.
For this authentication, function can be Enabled or Disabled for each SIP Entity. Use SIP Entity 1 as example. Select SIP Entity 1 first.
Web Folder:Advanced-SIP\Common
MOSA 4600B SIP Line user manual
63
Then, activate PIN Code authentication of that Entity.
Web Folder:Advanced-SIP\Common
And then, input PIN Code for individual Entity. The same Entity can have many PIN Code for authentication. For the example below, Entity 1 have two PIN Code, 3746 and 3321.
Web Folder:Advanced-SIP\PIN Code
After the configuration above, SIP device that intent to make call to SIP Entity 1 can make call to MOSA 4600B SIP Line and then dial
PIN Code + # + the No. of MOSA machine + # or
PIN Code + # + Prefix No.
PIN Code + # + SIP 分機號碼
Since two steps dialing is applied, so make sure to disable DID mode in advance

10. VODNET Network Configuration If your MOSA 4600B apply to the calls between SIP devices only, you can skip this chapter.
If the MOSA IP-PBX (used in VODNET and it connects to your desktop phoneset) communicates with SIP device via this MOSA 4600B, you can configure it according to this chapter.
10.1 Numbering Plan The numbering plan for this product is to define the access code for each kind of services and the
manner of dialing. These codes will be applied often, therefore the code should be simple, easy to
remember, and unique. The prefix of equipment should be put into consideration to prevent the
conflict. For the prefix of equipment, please refer to 10.2 Prefix Map.
The access code consists any combination of 0 ~ 9, * , and # ; and The first character can not be 0. If an access code is defined, you can define another access code by this code followed
by one extra character, only one character is allowed. For example, “*2” is defined as Abbr. Dial Access Code, then “*21” or “*22” may be defined as another access code.
Code can not be used if that has been defined as a prefix in Prefix Map Table. Also pay attention to the combination of Access Code + Dialing Plan. For example: Dial
(*2) + Index (00) can not be the same as other Access Code
The correct defined access codes are listed for your reference:
Use the access code as the example below simplify the configuration and it match the example described in this manual. However, for different environment, the factory default value may not exactly the same as the table below.

Chairman in VODNET side press # and hear confirmation tone. Hook on in 3 seconds (chairman had leave conference) and hook off again. And then invite other by dialing other's number
Chairman in SIP side press * * and hear confirmation tone. Hook on in 3 seconds (chairman had leave conference) and hook off again. And then invite other by dialing other's number
(Note: For Firmware 1.06 or above, the Prefix type to FONEMOSA 4496 can be configured as Conf, then hook oo phoneset is not required.
Different SIP Phones may have different kinds of dialing behavior. VODTEL list some most used models and describe its configuration and operation in detail. Please refer to several documents that are released by VODTEL: Quick Installation and operation for XX SIP Phone to register MOSA4600B SIP LINE (XX presents Brand and Model name)
10.2 Prefix Map For this machine, you can define a prefix number for each MOSA\FONEMOSA of the machine itself in the Prefix Map Table. Then you can connect to the equipment by dialing the prefix number defined for that equipment. It look like extension number when user make call. When other MOSA/FONEMOSA make calls to this machine, the system converts original Caller ID to prefix number according to Prefix Map. It is easier to identify and to call back.
There are three fields in the Prefix Map Table:
1. Prefix number
The prefix ID for other equipment, maximum length is 6 characters.
2. Phone Number
The phone number of MOSA\FONEMOSA series or MOSA 4600B SIP Line itself. The NETMOSA / NETMOSA +ID may be entered in this field. It is the mapping of Prefix number to the equipment. Version Firmare 1.05 or above allows to use "x" to represent the phone number of the machine itself. (For example: x = phone number itself, x11= phone-number-itself+11). By this way, once user change the Country Code, Area Code or My Phone Number of the machine itself, the related "x" in Prefix Map keeps consistent with the changed new phone number.
3. Type : There are iPBX, Phone and Conf
iPBX is selected for MOSA 4600 series or FONEMOSA 4400/4400 Plus series Phone is selected for others MOSA 4500 or FONEMOSA 4200.
If iPBX is defined in Type, system will start to create the call path after dialing prefix number plus 2 digits extension number (prefix number + Ext No), or prefix number plus “0” (prefix number + 0). Actually, the corresponding telephone number of other equipment defined in the Prefix Map Table is sent out. In the later case, “0” will be treated as the access code for Operator if Operator is defined in the system, otherwise the “0” after the Prefix number will be ignored.
MOSA 4600B SIP Line user manual
69
If Phone is defined in Type, system will start to create the call route after dialing the Prefix number.
If Conf is defined in Type, it is suitable to connect with FONEMOSA 4496
10.2.1.1 Restrictions in Prefix Map Table Prefix Map Table is part of Numbering Plan, any confliction and duplication are not allowed. Please take care some restrictions. Avoid from defining the prefix number starting with digit “0”. In the definition of tradition
telephone numbering plan, “0” is defined as the starting digit for accessing long distance call or international oversea call.
The maximum length of Prefix code is 6 characters. In principle, you can’t define a new prefix number starting with the number that has been defined previously. For example, “33” is defined as a prefix number, then any numbers starting with “33”, like “330”, “3312”, can not be defined as a prefix number. Of course, “31”, “32”, or “34” are OK. Another example, “555” is defined previously, then “5551” or “55522” can not be defined as a prefix number, but “551” or “552” or “553” …etc. is OK.
Attention: When MOSA 4600B is configured as Server Mode (acts as SIP Proxy itself), it has to configure a set of Prefix Number (default value: 10) and its Phone No. is the number of MOSA 4600B itself (Full Number, shown in Web Folder: BASIC\System Config, My Phone Number field, default is VODNET number if the machine is conneced to Internet), then dialing between SIP extensions is possible.
Firmware 1.05 or above has a pre-configured Prefix No. 10 in Prefix Map and user can skip this step
10.3 VODNET Call Forward The feature of Call Forward is to predefine a destination on the channel, then all calls to this channel will be forwarded to the destination automatically.
Calls from VODNET to SIP device can be forward to destination in VODNET as below.
The extension line of another MOSA 4600 Plus, MOSA 4600 or FONEMOSA 4400 series at remote side
The FXS port of another FONEMOSA 4200/4300 at remote side
The FXS port of another MOSA 4500 at remote side through NETMOSA
The public line (PSTN) through the machine at remote side (Off-net Forward)
Calls from SIP to MOSA 4600B SIP Line can be forward to destination in SIP environment as below.
The FXS port of another SIP device in the same SIP environment at remote side, such as MOSA 3700. (For call forward of SIP device, please refer to 8.1.9 SIP Call Forward)
70
10.3.1 Forward to VODNET MOSA 4600(1) makes call to MOSA SIP Line 81-3-3665100 (Dial 8801, MOSA 4600(1) use Prefix No., configure 8801=81-3-3665100-10, and this call will reach Channel 1 of MOSA SIP Line: Extension 10. Channel 1 of MOSA SIP Line is configured Call Forward to 886-2-82263391), and then this call is Forwarded to 886-2-82263391.
There are 3 parameter needs to configure for calls to VODNET:
Parameter Description Control Forward-Disable : Disable Forward Feature
Forward-All Calls : Forward all calls Forward-Busy : Forward only if this line is busy Forward-Busy-Slave : Forward only if this line is busy. And if the forwarded line is also busy and Forward-Busy-Slave is defined, this call will be forwarded to next destination as configured. NoAnswer-Forward: When there is no answer for this line, the call forward to the specified destination Busy/NoAnswer-Forward: When there is no answer or line busy for this channel, the call forward to the specified destination
Forward To Phone number of the remote equipment (such as MOSA 4600) or NETMOSA/NETMOSA+ ID that will be forwarded to. The phone number must be a full number including country code and area code. For example: 886282263391(886 is the country code of Taiwan, 2 is area code and 82263391 is the machine number). If Offnet To is configured to PSTN, the call will offnet to PSTN by the machine configured here.
Offnet to The telephone number of PSTN or mobile phone that the call will be forwarded to. The telephone number is entered from the viewpoint of transfer machine (the remote equipment that the phone number had entered in the field of “Forward To”). For example, the local machine is located in Shanghai. The MOSA that will forward your call is located at Taipei, phone No. 82263391 and you want to make a PSTN mobile phone call to Taipei No. 0930911556, so you configured 0930911556 as "Offnet to" No. here.

10.8 MOSA Phone Book If the IP address of a frequently used remote FONEMOSA/MOSA is a Static IP address, you may store the telephone number and the IP Address of this equipment into the Static Phone Book. It is not necessary to get the IP address of the other party through IP learning or joining to NETMOSA to get the IP Address of the other party. You should remember that MOSA 4600 will search the telephone number and IP Address from the Phone Book first. If any IP address is changed and the data in the Phone Book are not updated, MOSA 4600 will still take the wrong IP address from the Phone Book and try to create the path. Of course, the call will fail.
If the Private IP Address is used internally, but the global IP Address used is static IP Address, not DHCP, this line may be included in the Pone Book. The public IP Address and the virtual port of IP Sharing are stored as corresponding data.

Prefix : Enter the Prefix number for other equipment, maximum length is 6 Phone Number : Enter the phone number of MOSA 4600 or FONEMOSA that prefix is assigned to. This field may be the NETMOSA ID. Input English alphabet "x" means the number of the machine itself. If "x11", means phone-no-itself+11. That means the prefix number (phone number) is the equipment that you assigned to. If that machine make call to this machine, the system converts original Caller ID to prefix number according to Prefix Map here. It is easier to identify and to call back. Actually, the corresponding telephone number of equipment defined in the Prefix Map Table is sent out. In the later case, “0” will be treated as the access code for Operator if operator is defined in the system, otherwise the “0” after the Prefix number will be ignored. If the type is phone, system will start to create the call path after dialing the Prefix ID number. If the type is Conf, it is suitable to connect to FONEMOSA 4496 Conference Bridge

In some countries, the conflict exists in the numbering of Area Code. For instance, Area Code 4 is assigned to area-A, and 47 is assigned to area-B with the same starting digit. Therefore when a call is from area-A to area-B, the dial number will be the access code for toll call “0”, then Area Code “47” and phone number. Those kinds of conflict make MOSA 4600B confused. In such cases, any exceptions must be stored in the system to avoid from any misunderstanding. For instance, MOSA 4600B is installed in area-A with Area code 4, then any Area Codes starting with 4 (47 for area-B, 49 for area-C..) but different areas to area-A are exceptions. All exceptions must be known by system.

In some countries, several area codes are applied in a big range. The calls between different area codes are treated as local calls; no access code for toll is required; the tariff is also based on the local call. Those area codes must be entered in Toll Code Exception otherwise MOSA 4600B will treat those calls as toll call

12. Use Private IP Behind NAT The MOSA unit is able to communicate with other MOSA units or SIP Phone under a NAT environment using Private IP addresses on the LAN side of your IP Sharing device.
Concerning about NAT, please refer to the documentation about NAT.
In the table followed, the port number used in MOSA 4600B SIP Line is listed. If the packets for MOSA 4600B SIP Line are blocked by the firewall, open the ports with port number listed in the table in the firewall.
Packet Type Port Number
Control UDP 2000
SIP UDP 5060
RTP voice packet UDP 10000 ~ 10999
FTP firmware upgrade TCP 21
Web Management TCP 80
Telnet TCP 23
If there is several MOSA 4600B in the LAN, the port number used for each machine should be different, such as UDP 2010 UDP 5062 and UDP 11000~ 11999 for another machine. Open each port numbers at firewall the same as above. Make calls between each MOSA 4600B by VODNET number.
Normally every type of server uses the specific port number, e.g. WEB server uses the TCP port 80, and FTP server uses the TCP port 21. The configuration is to set mapping for the specific port number to the internal private IP Address. Therefore IP sharing device will transfer the packet with specific port number to the corresponding private IP Address. For example, if the private IP Address 192.168.1.1 is used in the internal network, it should be mapped to a corresponding port number (TCP port 80 of IP sharing devices <--> TCP port 80 of IP address 192.168.1.1). Hence, any packets to TCP port 80 will be transferred to TCP port 80 of IP Address “192.168.1.1”. In this bridge, UDP port 2000 is used for Call Control. It acts the same as a server. Only the port number is different. So there should has a port mapping on the IP Sharing device. (UDP port 2000 of IP sharing devices <--> UDP port 2000 of IP address 192.168.1.1). If there is more than one MOSA SIP Line under the same NAT, it needs to separate different 2000 and 5060 one by one. For example, if the first machine uses 2000, the second may use 2002…and so on.

Remarks for Update Software of File Type MEM
After the configuration is finished, please make a backup file for CFG file. It is in case that if the data is lost, you may upload the backup file of CFG file to machine. If you upload the previous backup file of CFG file to machine after the MEM file is uploaded, the MEM file will be ineffective because the backup file overwrites the Prefix Map table. You have to re-upload the updated MEM file to machine to get the correct data.
Generally speaking, CFG and MEM file should keep consistent. MEM file can create (modify or delete) lots of data without using WEB interface. When it is done and upload to this machine, please download CFG file for backup. When system data is damaged, you can restore to original setting with CFG file.
