(Hello… come in, sit down friend)

Dear MVPS Community,

School Activities and Social Distancing

We have had some additional good news regarding resumption of activities for our

students. Next Term we can begin to have our sporting coaches return, our Scripture and

Ethics classes can resume, we can have interschool competitions again and excursions.

Our Stage Three CANBERRA excursion is on !!!

At this point in time we are still not encouraged to have non essential adult/parent

meetings and assemblies are not returning yet for Parents. We will be delivering parent

teacher interviews early term three with physical distancing. These may occur remotely

however a final decision has not been made regarding this.

There is additional cleaning occurring at school with Sonam arriving early to wipe down all

areas. We also have hand sanitiser at all entries and doors and our students and staff are

able to utilise these at all times.

It has been encouraging to hear that any children who are exhibiting flu like symptoms are

kept home until they are well. We thank our wonderful parents for helping everyone to

stay safe during this ‘winding back’ time. I will keep you updated regarding any new

guidelines as the safety of our students is at the core of everything we do.

Keep well

Thank you all for your super support

As a part of our Biological science investigation about the characteristics of living things, the Asteroids looked for

insects, myriapods, annelids and any other living things we could find in the soil around our school. We then took

the into our class and analysed and classified what we found, before releasing our living things back into the wild.
