DISCLAIMER (For GK Packing System Mounting Instruction)”The GK cable and pipe entry sealing system (“the GK Packing System”) is manufactured by Roxtec. This GK Packing System is a modular based system of sealing products consisting of different compo-nents. Each and every one of the components is necessary for the best performance of the GK Packing System. It has been certified to resist a number of different hazards. Any such certification, and the ability of the GK Packing System to resist such hazards, is dependent on all components that are installed as a part of the GK Packing System. Disassembly / ReinstallationCarry out disassembly in reverse order from Fig. 8 to Fig. 4. For re-installed cables, Filling-modules should be replaced with the corresponding Half-modules. If the
existing module is longer than 62 mm, all Filling-modules should be replaced! Please follow the mounting instruction in chronological order Fig. 4 to 8.
Corresponding pipes in normal steel, stainless steel and aluminum are available for each Round Penetration to order. In case of customer using its own pipe, the inner diameter of
the tube nozzle should be given in order for us to adjust the round penetration accordingly.

Lubricate all contact surfaces of the module. You can combine different module sizes (+/- Module Size)
Quadratic packing surface should be completely filled, eventually with Full Modules if needed. Do not use and Stay Plates or Tween Plates.
Completely close the Metal Fittings. Constant tightening of the nuts until all gaps and columns are closed. At this point the cables should no longer move.

Clean the sleeves thoroughly before assembly. Do not lubricate or grease the surface!
One or double-sided partition (can be ordered at Roxtec GmbH) enables retrofitting / subsequent installation.Intersections should be lubricated / greased!
Opening the metal fittings, pulling the cables, lubricate/grease the square packing area.
Measuring the middle cable diameter and selecting the appropriate modules. Please see the inner nominal diameter module.
Validity: Bulkhead and deck - installation of fire classification A [0-15-30-60] according to IMO Resolution A.754 (18); applies for all GK round seals from sizes 50 to 200. Technical descriptions are described in our current GK packing system catalog. We have taken into account the VG88717 standards for navy projects applications. Local demands and standards are to be observed by the installers. Please follow the GK welding instructions and fire insulation assembly (acc. to actual certification). Use GK
planning sheets or GK Software tool before cable installation and refer to actual information on www.gkmarine.de.

he round penetrations RM are used to seal cables and pipes that are laid in pipe sleeves. Seven different sizes can be sup-plied. The front brackets are designed to be movable to prevent the modules from beingpressed out. GK provides also the suitable sleeves for each RM size. For RM-50 and - 70 reduction sleeves with threats are used as non-welding solution forcables and pipes installation, when hot workis not possible any more.
