Report cards and Kindergarten checklist - are issued every 9 weeks

Mandatory 6 grades taken per semester, per subject

Kindergarten check list - included in the report card. It will give a better understanding of their academic skills.

Kindergarten does not issue progress reports.

Language Arts Handwriting: Manuscript Weekly letter focus: Two letters per week Sight words: Word banks and word wall. Vocabulary: Academic vocabulary book Rhyming Counting syllables Concepts of print: words / letters, punctuation,

capital and lower case, top to bottom, left to right, where to begin reading.

Writing Inventive spelling is used. (Ex:

rainbow =rnbo) Writing on the sounds heard in the

words. In the beginning, typically the first and last sounds heard.

Attendance Each day your child is here on time, they get

a sticker for their chart. Send notes for EVERY absence 15 or more unexcused absences can result

in retention Tardies will bring conduct down Early pick-up – must get office to sign out For transportation changes - give notice to

teacher AND office.
