12. EDMS & ENEWSLETTERS
Electronic Direct Mailers (eDMs) and eNewsletters are email communication materials that are often used to present personalised content to recipients.
All eDMs & eNewsletters should be created with recommended 600px width.No keyline is required.
As much as possible, copy within eDMs & eNewsletters should be in HTML text for better viewability across major email providers.
Mobile-responsive versions of eDMs & eNewsletters should be rendered by the marketing automation platform automatically, upon creation of the desktop artwork.

BUILDING AN EDM OR ENEWSLETTER
The template is designed to be modular in nature - allowing you to remove or add content sections as required.
When building an eDM or eNewsletter, it is mandatory to start the layout with a Header and end with a Footer, following the necessary anatomy guidelines shown in 12.2.
Content Sections between the Header & Footer can be added in accordance to the information required to be communicated. These sections are modular and do not have a fixed sequence of presentation.A minimum spacing of 20px is required in between each Content Section.
TEMPLATE ARTWORKThe template is available in a HTML working file and serves as a base template to create eDMs & eNewsletters, depending on the sections required. Please download the template from Percolate.Do not create layouts without using the available template.

12.2 ANATOMY FOR EDMS & ENEWSLETTERS
12.2 ANATOMY & STRUCTURE - GENERIC EDMS & ENEWSLETTERS
1) TANGRAM BARThe height of the Tangram Bar is fixed at 60px height. The gradient colour on the right of the bar will change in accordance to the featured Corporate, School or Thematic cluster.
2) SMU LOGO The SMU Logo is always placed on the left within the white space of the Tangram Bar, with necessary logo clearspace as shown in 2.2.9.The SMU Logo can be accompanied by a School/Department logo where applicable.
3) CO-BRANDING LOGOWhere applicable, the SMU Logo can be accompanied by a co-branding logo to its right, in adherence to necessary clearspace of each logo. Refer to 6.1 for the definition of co-brands.
4) PROGRAMMATIC / THEMATIC INDICATORWhere applicable, the Programmatic or Thematic Indicator is featured on the right of the Tangram Bar in CAPS, in font size of 12px.
5) SINGLE-PARTNER LOGO PLACEMENTWhen there is only one partner to feature, the logo can be placed on the right, after the Tangram Bar, within the height space of 60px.
6) MAIN HEADLINE & BODY COPYHeadline copy is fixed at 36px while body copy is fixed at 12px. All copy should be in font “Oswald Reg” in HTML text where possible.For scenarios where alternative fonts are needed, please refer to 2.7.
7) MAIN IMAGEThe main image is to be at 600px width with minimum height of 200px height. Image should also have minimum resolution of 72dpi.
8) CALL-TO-ACTION BUTTONThe Call-to-Action button is always centrally aligned to the eDM or eNewsletter, in the colour of the featured Corporate, School or Thematic cluster. Height of button is fixed at 20px, with text within button at a minimum font size of 12px.
Priority of visual representation should be in the following order:

9) TWO-COLUMN CONTENTWhere applicable, additional content can be presented in two columns as shown, with minimum image size of 240px x 140px, sub headline at minimum font size of 20px and copy in HTML text in minimum 12px font size. No more than two columns of content is allowed per row.
10) LISTING CONTENT Where applicable, additional content can be presented in the format of 60px x 60px, sub headline at minimum font size of 20px and copy in HTML text in minimum 12px font size.
11) MULTIPLE-PARTNER LOGO PLACEMENTWhen there are multiple partners to feature, the logos can be placed before the Footer.A maximum of 4 logos with minimum clearspace of 20px between each logo is allowed in each row. Each logo should be at a minimum size of 80px x 25px.
12) FOOTERFooter is fixed in presentation as shown, with exception to the social icons to feature. A maximum of 6 social icons with minimum clearspace of 20px between each icon is allowed. In the event where there are no social pages to link to, the Footer should include the six Corporate social icons as per layout. Colours of social icons are to follow the colour of the featured Corporate, School or Thematic cluster.

2. Desktop – Event Schedule Content Module
When featuring an event schedule, timings are to be indicated on the left while programme titles and descriptions are on the right.
The timing and programme information are aligned left within each column, with spacing of 80px in between.
This content module can be featured as part of the content builds, following the Anatomy & Structure shown in 12.2.1.
