Dear Spartans, Fall weather is upon us, and we are heading into the halfway point of our regular season. Your Spartans are currently 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in the district. We have gotten off to a great start and our players are working very hard to continuously improve every day. Each week we have improved in all three phases of the game. Offensively we have shown that we are explosive, and have begun to run the football more effectively. Defensively we have pitched one shutout, and held a potent Sapulpa offense to only 10 points. Our special teams continue to get better and have gotten at least 100 yards in “hidden yardage” in each game. During our zero week contest against Mansfield Timberview in the Border Brawl, we came away with a 77-44 victory against the Timberwolves. It was an excellent road trip. We stopped at Arlington Martin High School for a walk through of their amazing indoor facility, ate at Texas Roadhouse and, most importantly, crossed the Red River victorious in two charter busses! Our week one contest was a historic evening. Your Spartans went into enemy territory and defeated the Jenks Trojans 57-7 at Allan Trimble See September Update Pg. 2 We are excited to announce our brand new Teacher of the Week program. At each home game, we will recognize a group of teachers who our players have nominated as having a positive impact on their lives! Those teachers are invited to our team dinner and then, of course, Friday’s game!
