ST. VINCENT DE PAUL PARISH SCHOOL Saint Vincent De Paul Parish School is now enrolling for the 2017-2018

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL PARISH GOLF GROUP

Saint Vincent De Paul golf group would like to invite both singles and couples to join our golf group. We play a different golf course each month. Our next golf outing is scheduled for June 25, 2017, Scheiters Riverside Golf Course. Cost: $27 for 9 hole round and $49 for 18 hole round. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND SACRAMENTS

Religious Education…Do you remember CCD? This is now called Religious Education, and it is important for your children who are Pre-k to 8th grade to be attending if they do not go to a Catholic school. This is where they learn more about their faith, and develop a Catholic community. Attendance here is a part of sacrament preparation as well. The process for both First Holy Communion and Confirmation is a 2 year program, so it is very important to get your child involved in Religious Ed. as soon as possible. This is a time of asking questions about the faith with no obligation, commitment, or pressure. MINISTER TO THE SICK AND HOMEBOUND We are in need of persons who are interested in bringing Communion to the sick. We need help with several locations including Intermountain Medical Center (hospital). This is an extremely rewarding ministry and takes only a couple of hours per week. Needed would be a back ground screening and safe environment training all done through our parish office.

If you are unable to fulfill your commitment of visitation please let us know prior to the date and time of your service so that we can make arrangements to have the facilities covered. SCOTT PLAYS SCOTT JOPLIN PART 2

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of American Composer and King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin, local pianist, Scott Larrabee will perform the second of four recitals on Saturday June 17, 2017 at 7 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1385 Spring Lane in Holladay. The recital series will include the entire ragtime catalog and songs of Scott Joplin. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be taken up to benefit Sr. Angela’s assistance program for the poor.

CORPUS CHRISTI (June 18, 2017)

Our parish church will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 12:30PM to 4:30PM with Benediction at 4:30PM. Please take the opportunity to spend time with our Blessed Lord in adoration. ATTENTION-

There have been some recent thefts from cars in our parish

parking lots during Mass. Make sure you lock your cars and any

containers with valuables.

On Saturday, June 3, 2017, several adults from our Parish joined others from the area to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Cathedral

of the Madeleine. Matea Martinovic, Mark Lengel, and Andrew Peternell were Confirmed. Avery Caouette and Antonio Godina were Confirmed, and received their First Holy Communion on this day as well. Congratulations to each of them!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Playing For God’s Team What does it take to be part of a team? Cooperation, confidence, and fortitude! These traits are important to teamwork, and are also important to being a good Catholic. During this fun week of VBS, children will learn the importance of being a part of God’s Team.
